Yes. Even after watching the show 4 times* the graduation still gets to me.
#IceBearForPresident*sniffle*Me Too!,man,me too.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. The last episode of the anime always, always, always makes me cry.
Anyway it is funny show with good characters. I'd really like them to do an OVA based on the 10th anniversary Extra Lessons but I know this is probably never going to happen. Oh well.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.I heartily support Nyamo/Yukari.
Is the person who wrote Azumanga Daoih doing anything else?
Inspirational quote against powerful image of nature. He's doing Yotsubato right now.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.I find the last episode to be a tearjerker, as well as that bit where Sakaki has to leave Maya on the island.
Which I heartily recommend. On the other hand, he has said he will probably never do another anime :(
But at least it comes back! All together now; awwwww...

Has he formed some kind of hatred for anime?
I assume you mean why there isnt a Yotsuba anime? He has just said that the story telling style of Yotsuba won't translate well in anime form.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I think he didn't like the AzuDai anime, since he claims that Yotsuba wouldn't make a good anime despite the fact that it should really be more suited for animation than AzuDai was.
I guess it is.Does anyone have a permanent/good link to the extra Azu Dai stuff that is readable?
Inspirational quote against powerful image of nature. Also, seconding the idea of animated Supplementary Lessons... funny, I had just thought of that idea before arriving at this thread.
Ah, Osaka, you funny Cloudcuckoolander you... who would've thought she'd be the only one to notice Kaorin's affections?
Honestly, I've always felt the Azu Dai anime is *better* than the manga: It just manages to do more with comical timing than the relatively rigid 4koma format.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntKaori can deny it all she wants. Lesbianism ain't the only reason she can't get a man.
NO TREE FOR ME (ALSO LOVES HER BOYFRIEND)You have to wonder why Kaorin is so touchy about being a lesbian or gay. She's in the Transparent Closet for gods sake.

Inspirational quote against powerful image of nature.Azuma started Wallaby before Azumanga, then he did character design on Magical Play.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Transparent Closet that only Osaka can see. (Maybe Chihiro)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!She's not a lesbian, she's Sakakisexual.
I guess it is.But isn't everyone Sakakisexual?
I fully support Sakaki/Kaorin. Just sayin'.
It's been fun.
Azumanga Daioh
So... noticed there wasn't a thread for this, and have just re-watched it.
Anyway, I know it's pretty funny, but does anyone find the last few scenes in both the anime and manga really sad? They are supposed to be, but it just made my emotions go crashing to the ground after all the humour and excitement.
