Character Development Thread--Discussion

I hate talking about my personal life here (or anywhere else, for that matter)... and yet, I feel compelled to state that yesterday and today were horrible, terrible days for a person really close to me...

I'm only saying so, because of potential Creator Breakdown in the near future... which usually ends in the sudden and violent death of my characters, and me vanishing without any further word...

...Still, The Show Must Go On... I've already made everyone wait long enough already... I'll try to keep moving for now... that's more productive than surrendering to despair....

Oh no, a desert zone is fine. I'm just tired of seeing abandoned areas that are only harsh desert-like environments. More a consequence of reaction to media than anything said in thread specifically.

Regarding One thread concept going into another. I think that's a great idea actually, only problem is we'd need a quest runner for it. But the idea of starting the thread in one situation and having it evolve into others is very appealing to me.

Edit: Okay, misinterpreted your post Gault, but I do like the idea it led too.

I thought it was down for a bit earlier, but that just might have been my end.

I shall work on a post today. In the meantime, I must make my morning coffee, or something.

It looks like Wolf 1066 hasn't posted anywhere since Monday, when he said that this was his first week back at work.

He's probably busy (cause...work and kids) but I can shoot him a PM if you want.

That was mostly addressed to Ryuhza - given how sluggish I've been sometimes, I don't really want to nag at anyone else for not posting unless it's gone on for literal weeks.

Yeah, sorry, I don't mean to nag or anything. Just reaching out for a status update if possible. If the update is, "oh its gonna take another week," that's totally fine. It just helps to know.

I have some writer's block, but I'm aiming to post before the weekend is over. School starts on Tuesday :(

School started for me last week. Fortunately, I'm only taking four credit hours this semester and working for the rest of the week. Just the two semester-long senior design project and two senior electives left, and then I'll have a degree.

Sorry for the delay; late nights with friends. Gonna work on a post now and I hope to get it done before I go to sleep.

Sorry for the long wait. Due to being tired and brain fried after work, have only managed to do a little bit on the planned post. Have had visitors all weekend.

How strong has Dream 2 been going? I've been waiting forever for the next CDT, but I have a character that would do better in Dream's more surreal setting.

As far as I can tell it's still alive, but moving really slowly. Though that's judging by the fact the last post was four days ago.

I think everyone's busy with life right now.

Dream is uncomfortably slow right now, but there s still interest in keeping it, and I think adding a character to it right now wouldn't be problematic... if you have the patience. I am also waiting for the new thread, mostly because I have a character I want to post that I dont feel like adding to dream. The full reason why is a complicated matter, but it is in part because said character is an updated version of a character I had in dream before.

I think waiting for the next thread might be a good idea too, since that one will need participants once it starts.

At least two of my characters from Frontier will be popping up in Starliner(?), as well as one from Dream II. I'll be adding a few new faces to the mix as well.

So much to look forward to in the future!

Meanwhile, I'm in a state of perpetuating ennui, whilst I struggle to get BBC America's website to cooperate with my Wii U.

I agree with the option of waiting for Space Liner, as we'll need characters there once it starts. Of course, it won't be starting until Frontier ends, for the sake of the people still participating in that thread (I don't think any of us would want to be handling both threads at once).

Which will be a good balance for me, as I have five characters in Frontier, three of whom will be replaced by four new characters in Space Liner. I already had two versions of the same character in threads at once, and I don't really want to do it again.

If I have time today after catching up with thread posts (it's my turn to post for at least three groups in Dream II plus whatever in Frontier), I'll start working on drafts for the Space Liner thread.

Fell asleep before the post was done, woke up to a busy morning. Free now. Onto finishing it. Sorry for the wait.

Likewise, things worked better when I had characters in near the start, so I'll wait for the next thread.

@Darkblood: Both threads are being held up by real life issues at the moment, I think. The current pace (or lack thereof) isn't really representative.
