[up][up][up]Not exactly. Season 11 may have still had Wash, but it was still completely self-contained to the teams’s issues stranded on an unfamiliar planet and struggling against old paradigms, with the climax being related to a completely disconnected civil war. It wasn’t until Season 12 that Church and Carolina came back and made the story into Freelancer baggage.

Episode 12 has been released to the public.

Jax traced the timelines of the Reds and Blues, and it formed a penis. Next episode is going to be exposition and it seems Donut will steal the hammer.

Well, low-brow joke aside, this was pretty fun. The interactions between the gods and the Reds and Blues are great to watch. And we might have finally gotten rid of Jax, so I'm happy. Carolina's demeanor to this whole thing is what amuses me the most right now, though.

More and more, I get the feeling this season is what happens when someone at RT reads a mythology book and decides to make some cracks at it.

So if Grif wished for a sword "just like Tucker's" then... does that make him a "true warrior?" Tucker was kind of the "best warrior" among the Reds and the Blues at least, and IIRC the sword didn't work for Tex or Locus, so clearly it wasn't ranking purely on skill.

Also, I guess Donut is going to steal one of the god's hammers next episode?

[up] You don't like Jax? Even after his time travel spiel? Honestly I prefer him to Caboose.

I just think he's become too haughty this season. I liked him fine in Season 15, but right now he's incredibly annoying. I know that that's the point with him now, but I think they went a little bit too far in doing so.

I don't really mind Caboose, though. His joke has mostly worn thin by this point, but he's generally harmless.

Yeah, they seem to have taken the Butt-Monkey portion of his character away. I can see your point somewhat.

It's not just that, it's that they doubled down so hard on the whole Prima Donna Director thing. He's just really annoying at most times now because of that.

Episode 13 has been released to the public.

So the gods were actually super advanced AIs this whole time. Of course it would take Simmons, the computer expert, to deduce it. And it got really emotional towards the end with Wash.

Valleymaker is a good name for a hammer. I'm so using that in D&D next time.

The gods being A.I.s was a cool reveal. I'm now hoping one of them becomes Carolina's AI by the end of this. Also, weird how Red Vs Blue keeps going back to A.I.s and their makers. Would this make "Crovos" a human, then, since he made them?

The ending was... heavy. From both sides. Donut's stuff feels a little bit weaker since it's a repeat of what Doc went through last season, but this time at least the stakes are a bit higher. Wash, meanwhile... well, he had a good reason for leaving.

Also, nearly forgot, but props to Jen Brown for her delivery there at the end.

And Kakaina still holds the title of best character with that remark at the end [lol]

Having watched the full thing now... I see. [up] (2)

Also, swords are complete status objects now. Yippee. I was kind of hoping it would mean something for Grif.

Another vote for "wow that ending was heavy."

Well, for what it's worth it, he took them away and only Grif kept his, so maybe the fates will conspire to have them all never recover theirs. Although considering they're A.I.s and Grif has yet to actually use his sword, I'm distrustful of the Atlus' ability to give actual swords.

Not much either, no [lol]

Then again, he gave it to Caboose. If anyone can break the rules of reality and keep a non-real object, I'd expect it to be him.

So, does anyone have a list of the changes to the timeline the Reds and Blues are responsible for?

Because I've completely forgotten what happened to Captain Flowers. I thought he had an allergic reaction due to something that Church did.

The cause of his original death is unclear. The only time we've seen it was in the simulation Gamma trapped Church in, and the details don't line up with reality, re: time travel.

[up][up] Here's what I've gathered for actual timeline changes (as opposed to Stable Time Loops or the fake "time travel" that Gamma put Church through as a form of torture) thus far:

Sarge got Alexander of Macedonia killed via disease on Jax's movie set in the future of RvB instead of him dying in his home time.

Grif and Doc somehow managed to Ret-Gone pizza.

Tucker became king of Camelto instead of Arthur Pendragon (it's possible that King Arthur never existed as a real person in the RvB-verse and that Tucker very loosely inspired Arthurian myth, which would make this qualify as a Stable Time Loop instead).

Nothing else is coming to mind so far.

Sadly, I was spoiled for the big thing this episode. It's a pity, because it was well-executed, although the eulogy felt a bit too much. Still, Former Golf Club Guy is on the list of villains now.

As for the rest of it, I hope Sister and Tucker aren't about to get into a relationship. And now the Red and Blues are going to muck things up further, and probably stumble into what they're supposed to do on the way.

Say, does anyone feel Sarge has regressed and flanderized a bit? Not just recently, but for a while now? He was a bit less stupid and forced up until the Freelancer Saga, and I feel like he's just become a tired joke since. I miss the development he got in Revelation.

Okay, friends, acquaintances, hear me.

I am losing my god-damned mind looking for the episode where Sister and Tucker blow up at each other. I remember a line that went something like, "I am a sexual person Tucker." She was chewing him out for always fronting as a ladies' man, whereas Sister herself has actual experience.

I cannot find the episode and I've been skimming the episode guide on the Wiki trying to find it. I've reviewed Episodes 5-11 looking for the scene.

Agggggggh.

It can't be! It had to be at a moment when they'd already had significant interaction. I'm almost certain it was after they found out what happened in the cave!

The progression of events IIRC:

  • Tuck and Sis end up on a historical sex tour
  • Sis is pissed that Tuck is messing up said tour
  • They go back to the base they were staying in before Dylan showed up
  • While there they got high - I'm almost certain it had to be here - and then Atlus showed up
  • fought a cyclops

There's also the time they went back in time and Tucker cock-blocked himself. They have a discussion after that, it might be then.

I don't really remember what happened in each episode thus far, to be honest, but since they all start time-travelling after, I think, episode 2, you might want to check 3 and 4.
