Dontcallmewave has it. "Erinnerung (06)" is the song in question. The guitar carries the melody throughout, but at 1:09 it repeats the melody, only this time with strings in the background.

This was also the reason I insisted on Youtube links. If you look at the soundtrack listing there are two songs called "Erinnerung"; the second one only goes through the melody once. The one that was the answer goes through the melody twice, the first time with a cello or bass accompanying, the second time with the rest of the strings.
