Raises all Six arms.
Watch Symphogear"I don't know, Nintendo brought over Sin And Punishment (English voice actors, Japanese subtitles) and it worked just fine. Should work just fine for this game too."
There's a key difference: the original N64 release didn't have an English menu. Treasure kindly translated it for the Virtual Console release.
"Good news — fans have released a "basic English" Fan Translation of Metal Wolf Chaos. So if you're okay with emulation, then get a patch at http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1718 , and get your original Xbox emulators configured."
Wait a damn minute-there are Xbox emulators out there that are actually usable? I always found it rather ironic that the console that's most similar to IBM PC-compatible computers is also the one that has yet to be emulated well, especially compared to the other 6th-gen consoles (Dreamcast, PS 2, Game Cube).
That aside, I'll definitely appreciate having this fan patch to translate the damn menus! That's literally the only thing keeping me from playing it right now. (Before you bring up No Export for You, it helps to have a pair of softmodded Xboxes and the Internet...)
I had a crazy idea a long time ago, perhaps we could consider pooling money to get some copies from Ebay, then sending and sharing them amongst ourselves?
That reminds me a lot of this "open sink" idea the Geekhack forum came up with for sharing hardware (in this case, mechanical keyboard switches).
Basically, you sign up to be on a list, and the item in question passes down the people on the list. You don't pay to receive the shipment, but you do have to pay to send it.
On the other hand, that requires quite a bit of trust amongst the whole community to work out, as there's too much chance of someone possibly keeping the item for themselves, reputation be damned.
Yeah, I'm not sure how we could ensure that myself.
It is just Metal Wolf Chaos, though. As entertaining as I'm sure it is.
If I were to fervently scream RICHAAAAAAAAARD!!!, would that count as a hand raise?

...I think I'll pass.
It's a meme-tastic game, yeah, but the gameplay really doesn't look that exciting or worth putting up with. That, and I've already watched the best parts of it online, so why bother playing through it?
Given that, by some miracle, they've released every main entry of Armored Core outside of Japan, I'm still confused as to why it wasn't released in the states. Especially since it was an X-Box exclusive.

Tropers watching moviesIt's been three years already.
This makes me incredibly sad.
Wait, FROM SOFTWARE made Metal Wolf Chaos?
That's... Surprising.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.I'm afraid I still don't have the spare cash to consider doing what I said a year ago.
After playing Saints Row IV, I am more inclined to want to play one of its obvious inspirations, so yeah, give me some Metal Wolf Chaos.
Right, I forgot to Raise Dead this so anyone that's kept the sentiment will now know the game will be able to be bought worldwide for much cheaper soon, with remastered graphics. I don't believe the true time for its release this year is known yet.
You know it's Devolver when the re-release adds XD to the title.
Wait, how would anyone know it's from Devolver via the "XD" subtitle?
But yeah, the most American game to never be released in America is finally coming to America.
Hell yeah.
You can also preorder the game on GOG.com as well.
I wish it would come out in here. Literally the only thing that would have to be changed is the text. Everything else is in English, and in America.
I have a message from another time...
