All the Doctors are great and all, but I reserve special love for Rowan Atkinson. ...what, have you not seen The Curse of Fatal Death? Check it out, it's awesome. (@ Satan4k, you're welcome! Just hope you have a good time.)

One day I will rule the world. Until then, I plot your demise.

Yes. Yes they are. As another person whose first official doctor was the Ninth (changing the channel from PBS doesn't count as watching) I wouldn't change it for anything. Really got me into the series Eckie did.

@Juan: Sounds less like you're talking about your first Doctor and more like you're talking about your first lover. << Of course, I'm inclined to join in on the Eccleston love. Smith is the best, but Eccleston is right behind him. It baffles me that he only got one season while Tennant got three. Why, producers, why?

Same difference. :P

Also, Eccleston left because he didn't feel comfortable. He never said why.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

It occurs to me that Eccleston is divisive for similar reasons to why Deep Space Nine is divisive. They're both dark, gritty departures from what the core fans were used to.

I'm resurrecting this, just in time for 11's regeneration into 12.

This is a signature.

[up]Useful Notes— Twelfth Doctor: unfortunately-colored kidneys.

It baffles me that he only got one season while Tennant got three. Why, producers, why?

It's very likely that he was always going to regenerate at the end of the first season, to introduce new viewers to the idea. It's unclear whether Eccleston actually quit because he didn't like the atmosphere of the production, or if that's just why he says he'll never ever be back.

Although more recently, he's said things like "I don't want to do Who again because I don't like to reprise characters in general", "I think there's more I could have done with the Ninth Doctor", and "I'm not participating in the anniversary festivities, but I promise I'll be there for the 100th on the condition that my favorite director is too."

I know some of you Americans may not have seen him yet, But I like the way Creator.Peter Capaldi is playing the character (and I hope I spelt him correctly.)

I thought Eleven was my Doctor until I realized how hungry I was for what Capaldi is serving.

I didn't like the Doctor in Robot of Sherwood, but that was more an issue of Gatiss not seeming to understand Twelve's character than anything Capaldi did. Twelve does not seem the sort to get as childish as he was in the dungeon.

Question: How come Eccelston and Tennant both got the same intro, whereas Matt Smith got like 47 of them?

Not exactly a Whovian, but wouldn't mind having a few for friends. My favorite Doctor is David Tennant, favorite companion is Amy, and my favorite villains are the Daleks and Weeping Angels.

It can't be helped.
