DreamWorks stuff

Do we have a thread focused on How To Train Your Dragon series in general? Because that video looks beautiful! It reminded me of how amazing and heartwarming this series is! And also made me bittersweet, given the mention when this attraction is taking place, reminding me of the ending of third movie. I'm still hoping for movie four, and possibility it will give us more optimistic and less bittersweet ending than what we saw in third movie.

Speaking of Dragons...

I would have given the third film another dragon as a villain like the first one, this time a sapient race of dragona that can actually talk, who go around raiding others (ironically like Vikings do).

Also, I would have also put in in other media (TV series or comic) or even the ending as a one off gag that other cultures have their own mythical creatures they have tamed and ride: like Celtics have unicorns and Greeks have griffons. Again, wouldn't be the major focus, just one off Hero of Another Story Similar Squad thing going on.

There is actually Crossover Fanfic with Moana that has dragons speaking with each other in the Animal Talk style, with one of the human characters being able to speak with dragons.

Your idea for other ancient cultures having their own mythical creatures to ride on is pretty awesome, and seems like a good material for a potential spin-offs and maybe crossover between them and the main series. I wonder if someone will write a fanfic around your idea.

When I saw How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, you can guess everyone's reaction in the theater to Snotlout asking Hiccup "Who died and made you chief?"

As of today, I can now safely say I have seen every Shrek movie in the theater!

...It was certainly something hearing the "white bronco" joke the day after OJ died. Life's full of funny coincidences like that.

Say, this gave me an idea for another potential review series...

Well, it IS supposed to be Dreamwork's 30th this year, so if there's any time for a full-blown marathon...

Huh, I actually didn't realize that. Just thought it'd be fun, but yay, justification!

Didn't know Shrek 2 had a re-run, and outsold all the Pixar reruns of Soul, Luca and Turning Red

If any company could use the extra money that Shrek 2 made with its re-run in theatres, it would be Dreamworks Animation.

I just got back from Shrek 2.

Dreamworks has once again made Disney into the underdog.

Thats impossible really,Disney can't be an underdog in anything because they're so damn big

So anyways, as I was saying, financially speaking, making good money on the re-airing of Shrek 2 doubtlessly came in clutch at least somewhat. Good breathing room.

Yeaaahhhh, but with what we know about the behind the scenes chicanery, I couldn't in good faith at the time gauge whether or not they'd learn the wrong lessons from its success, or the right lessons.

...I mean, I'm always hopeful that movie makers are striving towards telling stories first and foremost that stick with people, because when Dreamworks tries, they kill it... but you know, better to remain vigilant.

Second: I posted this tweet like a month ago showing us a 'supposedly' schedule for Universal that includes both Dream Works and Illumination, but let's focus about Dream Works. Apparently the rumours about The Bad Guys 2 where true. So, what do youyou think about this schedule, you think is legit? And if is true, what next movie of Dream Works are you interested to see.
