(Smiling, Kim turns towards Milo. They walk up towards each other, and Milo looks over at Kim's newly-evolved Raboot.)

Milo: (impressed) "Hoo-boy... a Dynamax evolution! You don't see somethin' like that every day, let me tell ya!" (He laughs.) "Still, though... that was a very proper battle, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Therefore, it is my honor and privilege to present to you..."

(He reaches into his bag, and pulls out a badge resembling a stylized leaf of spinach, which he promptly hands to Kim.)

Milo: "...this Grass Badge!"

(Kim takes the badge, and her Pokemon come up to her and stare at it in awe.)

Kim: (smiles) "Thank you, Milo." (she extends her hand, and Milo shakes it) "I certainly enjoyed that battle as much as you did."

(She looks over at Elton, who smiles at her.)

(About 10 minutes later, Kim has changed out of her uniform and is now back in her regular clothing. Most of her Pokemon, except for Elton, have been returned back to their PokeBalls, though once again the Yamper from earlier is following her into the entrance room.)

Kim: (smiling) "So, Ian... what are your thoughts?"

-"TWINCOOL!!!", Ian shouts while jumping into the air and flailing his arms.-

Evelyn: Best part is, Ian got the whole thing on film.

Me: Yep! And I'm pretty sure that THAT is the first ever Dynamax Evolution I have seen in my LIFE!!!

(Mere seconds later, Orwell pops out from his PokeBall and stares up at Ian.)

Clara takes a Pokeball off her sash and opens it, revealing a ruby-red Alcremie. The two head off to attempt to snuggle together while she continues the conversation.

“Anyway... I think it would be alright if I checked it out. I’ll check with my mate Tomi and see if he’s alright with it.”

Turffield Stadium, after Kim's Battle

Some time after Kim's battle, enough to fix up the battle pitch and Milo to heal his Pokemon, the commentator announces the next trainer to try his luck against Gym Leader Milo.

"And here comes number 044, Will Rubens!"

Will walks out into the pitch, his Jigglypuff Puri perched on his shoulder, anxiously looking at the stands. Fortunately his family is not the type to blend into the crowd and he knows they're going to be in a section reserved for wheelchairs, so he spots them quickly. Fuka is jumping up and down, Waka the Unown at some point had a flag with "ILL" attached to it to look like a banner, Sami the Garchomp roared at a volume that clearly concerned the people nearest, and Suzie...

...she sat there, watching Will. She simply smiled at him and nodded. Will thought about the ground rules Suzie had given him. Rules to make an untterly winnable battle more interesting.

Milo: Rubens, eh? Way you handled that mission, gotta ask, any relation to Charlie Rubens?

Will jumps in surprise at the question.

Will: He's my dad... k-kind of...

Milo: Kind of?

Will: It's a long story.

Milo: I'll have to get it from one of you, sometime. Not many can handle Pokemon like ol' Charlie. But that's not what we're here for, today. We're here for a battle. You ready?

Will: As I'll ever be...

Milo (raises an eyebrow): All right then, let's begin.

"Fairy Prince" Will vs Gym Leader Milo

Milo: Let's start off with Gossifleur.

Milo throws a Poke Ball and from it emerges a Gossifleur. Will nods and throws his own Poke Ball

Will: Go, Ronin!

Will throws the Poke Ball and as the Pokemon emerges a stream of light shoots out from it, crosses over the stadium pitch in an arc, and, as it returns, forms the shap of a bone. The bone is caught by a light brown, reptillian hand. The light from the Poke Ball coalesces in the form of a Cubone. A Cubone that, with the unerring instinct of a showboat, finds the nearest camera.

Suzie: Did Ronin just-

Fuka: -throw a Bonemerang as he was coming out of his Poke Ball, catch it after it circled the field, and wink right at one of the cameras? Yes, he did just do that.

Suzie: How long was he practicing that?

Fuka: Since Will mentioned he might wind up on TV during the Gym Challenge.

Tommy and the rest of his family are at a care facility in Castelia City. They gather around a sweet-old lady petting a pachirisu.

The Petersen-Sanchezes look onward. None of them speak [Serbo-Croat]. Except Gimbal.

Tommy: Oh, I stay in a hotel not far from here. I'm currently working with Mr. Beckett on the Dynamax phenomenon and the cultural background thereof for the Geographic Society Magazine. He's the one who actually works for PEFE. You could ask him if it's okay to stay at the facility

Beck: I can take you to the Stormchaser, if you'd like. It's still in Galar. I'll need to talk to my superiors, of course. We're considering tightening security—and about time, too. You know how much damage a supervillain will do if they managed to get in?

Roxy perked up, she didn't know a lot of [German] but she heard "Eddisburg", and with a grin she stared at Utpon and his Rotom, before turning to Ammy and whispering to her to keep an eye on them, adding, "I suspect they're involved with one of our side jobs."

She rolled her shoulders, looked to Tae and Snakeye, "Alright, shall we get to work? Old mansion to sleep in, lets get it fixed up."

Snakeye grinned, <Call dibs on wirin' projec's.>

Tae shrugged, <Sure why not.>

The carriage stopped just outside the ruins, a single rotted cell door before everyone, Silas had put his armor back on, and in the granite slab voice he had so gotten used to, turned to everyone else there, "It will be a quite a trek, I am prepared. The first chamber however is apparently not too large, a rest will not be needed, correct?"

Henderson nodded, "Yeessss yes yes yes, certain locations are too large to achieve all in one night, the ruins are winding and twisting, this is the first look, a scouting into the deep."

Silas nodded, turning to the others, "Ready?"

-Cady is about to start her gym mission, Violet walks up to the desk.-

-Cady turns over to the Litwick, who runs over. Cady sends out Alto. The gym trainer in that area runs over and sends out their Sizzlipede.-

-The beam hits the Litwick for decent damage.-

Gym Trainer: Sizzlipede, use bite!

-The bite hits the Litwick hard.-

Litwick: <Come ooooon. You can do better than that.>

-The Litwick uses confuse ray on Alto.-

Cady: What the?

Litwick: <Hey, I'm supposed to make this hard for you, right? Now I'll get defeated by another bite because you can't move!>

Cady: Nah.

-She throws a pokeball at the Litwick. It shakes a few times, then...-

-The billboard pings because Cady got 5 points.-

It was a slow, uneventful day.

Shutter: Hey, Flash. Ever had one of those times when you think you want something. Like, you wish for a normal workweek when nothing is actively trying to harm, maim, or kill you, and then all of a sudden you realize that it's not all that it's cracked up to be.

Flash: Are you having one of those "be careful what you wish for" moments?

Shutter: ...Maybe?

Flash: See, I told you that you shouldn't have passed over that one investigative job.

Shutter: Hank wouldn't give that job to me anyway. He had two staff members already there. Tommy was already doing something in Galar with Doc Williams and his mother, and the new guy was inexplicably there and took that haunted house assignment.

Flash: You know, one of these days, we should have our own little adventure. Just the two of us. A bit of controlled chaos just to break the monotony. None of that Torchic Little apocalypse stuff that got your nerves the last time.

Shutter: Yeah, that'd be nice.

A wild Jon appeared.

Jonathan: Hey guys! I'm having Karaoke night on my birthday in the next two days. Wanna come?

Flash: Sure, I'll bite. Shutter?

Shutter: He had me at karaoke.

Paige Manor

Upton sits impatiently in a corner, tapping away at a tablet and writing some gonzo stuff about the wait being almost as scary as the unknown. The awkwardness that ensured ensured no interview with the owner.

Any of his mutterings were all in languages that he sensed couldn't be understood by the remaining people. In [German] with Phineas, and in [Hopi] when he was thinking out loud. An observer keen enough would notice that he's speaking in two languages, which seems to indicate that he had thought processes that he wanted the rotom to be in the dark.
