Me: <Good idea! So how do we do that then? Makeing the world a better place when there is a war going on now?>

Me: <One of the most likely priorities for that would be to end the war somehow... And... hoo boy, that's gonna be quite a feat for us in our current state...>

Evelyn: <Maybe we can start by planting flowers...>

-Beat-

Evelyn: <Then again, where are we gonna get the flowers?>

Me: <Yeah... That's going to be a bit of an problem.>

Me: <Any ideas, Aspen?>

Me: -She thought about any ideas for awhile- <Sorry, I got nothing.>

Me: <We'll think of something... It might... take a while...>

Me: <Well, whatever the case... We can discuss our plans for the club in better detail tomorrow morning... Because...>

-Ian yawns.-

Me: <I'm kinda sleepy...>

Stylus looked over to the small group, <Just follow me and you'll be fine. I've gone through something like this twice... actually fought and ended two wars. I do mean ended.>

Ribbon smirked smugly, <Grand hero huh?>

<Gio likes me for a reason. Sure that reason is profit.>

Artyom didn't pay much attention as he lead the group forward, "I guess if you're working with me, you're part of the Spartan Rangers."

Sam laughed, "Oorah."

Stepan added, "If not us, then who?"

Anna sighed, "Really?"

Vasilly rolled his eyes, <Ignore them, they can be rather immature.>

"Oh hey, Sam you said you come from Unova right? What's it like over there?" Stepan asked.

Sam chuckled, "Oh it's just great Stepan, the streets are clean, there are stars and stripes everywhere and we have a giant humanoid robot to destroy our foes that spouts out patriotic phrases?"

Stepan stared, "Really?"

Sam sighed, "No."

-She went over to a bed and layed down and closed her eyes. After about 30 minutes, she was sleeping.-

-Ian, Evelyn, Piku-chan and Hatty find beds for themselves, snuggle in and within half an hour, the four of them are asleep.-

Me: -Aspen woke up in a place similar to the portal when she took the personality test- ...Where? Where am I? Is... this a dream? Huh? There is someone here. Who is it? Someone I know? ...I don't know.

-Her dream ends abruptly and continues to sleep-

-Ian, Evelyn, Piku-chan and Hatty are fast asleep...-

Viridian City Hotel, MMO Space:

"I've got nothing else planned for a while, although it kinda depends on where you guys live. Can only afford to travel so far with so much time," Travis replied, more focused on the game as the party would find themselves in the final stretch of the Submerged Citadel. These next sections consisted of a mix of platforming, occasional enemy encounters that made up for their lack of quantity with their general tankiness, and having to navigate all sorts of strange 3D environments that only further defied gravity and physics. Some examples included having to swim through suspended liquid bubbles, executing some careful jumps, sideways and diagonal platforming in strange zones that seemed to have collapsing floors suspended in time, and at one point finding themselves in a room that would require the party to jump on various buttons to flood said room to different levels while racing to return to the only platforms that would both float atop the water and support the weight of four pokemon.

"Yeah, this level is more focused on spectacle than gameplay, but to be fair it's an early-stage."

-The quasi-real mallard rotates very fast-

/Duck/: <The world is very big and some parts of it are holding up better than others.>

Turffield

-Gale's out here in the sunshine and fresh air standing at the portable prep surface from the last time she did a 'cooking show' but this time instead of a charcoal grill there is an electric cook-top/oven combo that is clearly hooked up to a small solar power rig. Gale's got things on the cook; a set of vegetables cooking away on a griddle-pan and some potatoes roasting away in the oven. She's also deep into stirring away at a saucepan, making a sauce to brush over the grilled vegetables-

Man there are times where I wish you lot were here in the quote unquote 'kitchen' with me because the spring sun's keeping me warm, the veg and sauce is smelling wonderful and there's just some great vibes from cooking something so pure in a place like this.

-She flashes a smile at the camera and carefully tastes the sauce-

Look at that, just some soy sauce, sugar, water, fresh scallions and of course some ginger and garlic pastes-

-She briefly gestures at the two small jars of her sponsor's part in the meal-

-and you've got this wonderful teriyaki to pour over the grilled portion of our platter. Now, with that done I hope you'll allow me a little indulgence...

-She takes the sauce off the heat and steps back to the prep surface-

I know I said we were making a vegan meal today and between the veg and the sauces we have that! But when I was shopping for the ingredients I found this wonderful little cheese shop down in the village and tried this flavorful and creamy cheese made from Wooloo milk of all things and I just... I could not pass up the opportunity to make a sauce with it.

-She gets out the little wax-paper-wrapped chunk of cheese and a few other ingredients and gets to work-

This is mostly experimentation on my part because I've never worked with Wooloo milk products before but I'm assuming it should be something you can apply with any good quality cream cheese at home. Of course both recipes are gonna be up on the chat-bot so give it a look and see if you want to try it out.

-Gale flashes another smile and really leans into her mixing-

I always mention how it's important to take care of the dietary requirements of your Pokemon if you're gonna share food and I think at least today it's important to note that some humans also have dietary restrictions that should be considered. That's why I prefer keeping the sauces separate for big shareable portions like this so that each personmon can work out their own serving size and dietary needs. That said, if you're cooking just for yourself that teriyaki sauce works wonders if you pour it onto the grilled veg while it's still on the heat. Now for the cheese we're gonna dilute it down just a little to get it into a good kinda dip-like consistency and add in a little bit of dried herbs just to add a little more depth to the flavor. We don't even need to put it on the heat!

-Gale shall likely continue her little demonstration and may be approached-

Orrean Desert, Pokefutures Factory Ruins

Upton: I still don't get why two versions of you decided that your ultimate clone weapon had to be human shaped? I'm pretty sure that it's not supposed to work that way.

Phineas: Anthropocentrism, my good glitch. This was Pokefutures' original sin. They never thought of pokémon, even legendaries such as Zapdos, as anything more than chattel, a resource to be exploited. If we were to make a god, it'd be in the image and likeness of humanity. Not in the shape of a bird.

Upton: That's awfully hubristic.

Phineas: As for how that's supposed to work. The original idea was that we'd edit the shape of the cells to resemble human musculature. A few less unethical labs could make tentacruel-shaped things out of rattata heart cells. It wasn't a stretch to do the same. In this universe and ours, I sure showed those guys.

Upton: And it's still freaking me out that the sensors say that you're over here where your mummified butt is over there.

Phineas: Yeah, about that—The higher ups were... insistent on making sure that the samples could be contained, especially with all the glitching they displayed. This included the zygotes we needed developed. Obviously, we didn't go that route but back home we split the difference by suspending the non-stem cells we needed to observe in the body of a chimerical organism. I probably do not need to tell you what organism we used to "contain" the zygote.

Beat.

Upton: Why?

Phineas: On paper, it was enforced because a human child was way easier to contain than a Zapdos chick. In truth, we wouldn't accept any other species to be "compatible" with a legendary except humans. At least two people's cell lines were used to stabilize you.

They stared at the corpse of the Adonis again.

Phineas: I don't mean to alarm you, but that thing is still electroactive. Also, Don't bother looking at what's underneath the head, though. I'm not even sure if Mummy Phineas even decided to clone head tissue. And even if it did, it wouldn't be your face.

Upton froze in place again, then turned around. The glitching seemed to stop around him at the presence of the corpse's exoskeleton. He managed to wrangle his curiosity in place.

Phineas: You know, once I have equipment again, I could make something like that for you. The system's still in my head.

"Very well!"

He takes an arrow and points it at the hologram of Leon.

"He shall be the prey I pursue. His smug aura mocks me and his cape looks cool."

He slides the arrow back into quiver.

"I shall now go prepare for the hunt. I will have this champion's beast for you in not but a fortnight."

He leaves.

Turffield

Des was examining the weird hoop thingy that held the Galar region badges.

"Fancy. Gonna look nice once I finish it."

He looks down at Miz.

"You did great. I didn't think first gym would be much of a challenge."

He makes it over a hill and sees Gale doing her cooking show. He's about to shout out to her but thinks better of it. He places himself some ways away behind the camera and just smiles and waves to Gale while she works.

Wyndon Stadium

In one of the entrance ways to the field, someone waits for Leon to finish their expedition.

"The place an animal feels safest in is his own turf..."

Outside all the entrances the guards have been put to sleep.

Turffield

-Gale glances up from her work on the cheese dip/sauce and spots Des behind the camera-

Oh hey! Nice to see you here!

-She flashes a smile before checking the oven-

Okay potatoes look done but I'll keep them in the oven for now... Hm.

Wyndon Stadium

-Outside the stadium, a man has fallen into the river in [Lego City].-

(ha ha, no.)

Wyndon Stadium, Take Two

-Outside the stadium, a man in a black trenchcoat, black boots and solferino mask observes the entrance to the stadium, seeing that the guards have been put to sleep. This man is another Pokémon Hunter, one by the name of Salem... and he's here for one reason and one reason only...-

Salem: As good a job as Domino did at incapacitating these guys, he's definitely out of his mind...

-Salem then lets off a smirk.-

Salem: -smugly- ...and the moment he makes an idiot of himself, I'll be there to see it firsthand.

-Salem then chuckles quietly to himself and sneaks into the stadium, past the sleeping guards.-

Wyndon Stadium, Inside

-Salem situates himself in a dark part of the stadium, his black clothing making for good camouflage as he awaits the moment of hilarity... At that selfsame moment, Ex-Champion Leon finishes an exhibition match against his old rival, Raihan.-

Raihan: I gotta say, Leon. Even though you're no longer Champion, you've never lost your spark.

Leon: Thanks, Raihan. Means a lot coming from you!

-Raihan and Leon shake hands.-

Des said nothing, he just gave Gale a thumbs up.

The figure in the shadows stayed where he was, watching and waiting.
