I have no idea who this guy is. Should I know? Maybe I should just pretend it means something to me.

"So you missed the raid. A shame. Who is this Cheri?"

-Odin sighs-

Odin: Long story. Basically I tried converting and uploading my mental processes into a heavily modded Porygon, but the resulting program was unstable and split into two programs - Oran OS and Cheri OS. Oran OS is harmless unless he ends up in the wrong hands - which he has - and Cheri OS is highly dangerous. So I need to talk to someone who's seen him on this raid.

Wanderer: Well this'll be your stop. I'd hang out some more but, well, if I hang around people for too long my problems become their problems... and believe me, you don't want my problems, they nearly got your de facto leader killed on two separate occasions. You'll probably see us around though.

Wanderer: -Seeing the look on my face- Red Talon, they're like us in terms of capabilities but they're there to conquer worlds instead of watch over them.

Judith: We can call in some favors to help with the final push, but it'll take some time before they're all in the right place to effectively help.

Wanderer: Just one last thing though. All that stuff we've told you regarding us, that doesn't leave your group and your closest associates.

Fuka stares blankly at the trainer-turned-Arcanine for several moments before going starry-eyed

Fuka: You're so cute!! (Fuka shakes herself then calls out to her Pokemon) Be careful, Goosey! He's a Fire Type but he's sure to have Electric moves like your last opponent! He doesn't call himself "Sparkers" for nothing!!

Though weary, Zangoose braces itself for battle. Seviper hisses and coils, ready to jump in as soon as her trainer gives the word

-Ian wakes up on the floor of the Stormchaser's Gym, almost confused, until he remembers the adventure he was on with the J-Team-

Logan: -admitting- I actually don't know Umbra or Lina. I'm pretty new here, and I've been gone for awhile besides.

But I know there's a lot that goes into "how to people", and I've taken a good look at most of it.

-grin, conspiring- I love people.

-twirling one of those little wooden stirring rods- I could talk about the intricacies of social mores, and how to avoid those nasty little pitfalls that're so easy to forget about—

-they take their eyes off of Locke, just briefly, to open up three packets of sugar, which they pour into their drink-

-stirring- Or just how to get used to being around people again; regrow that emotional comfort zone.

-chuckle, wry- A year's a long time. I spent the whole past year in another dimension...but I had to people a lot there.

-they take a sip of their concoction, and crack open one of those little cups of cream-

-side glance- Or, and this is a possibility, I could be a spotter of sorts, and provide a bit of a safety net for your forays back into being people.

-warm- I do a lot of people-watching, and from what I've seen the people here are kind. If you're up to it, this seems as good a place as any.

-at this, they grow a bit more serious-

-plainly- Unfortunately, I can't decide what advice would be most effective until I get to see you "in action", so to speak. One-size-fits-all fits no one, sadly. With a few notable exceptions.

-brightening- Right now, you seem like a nice fella!

Articulate and direct. A bit wild still, but there's heart there.

-they pour the cream into their drink and take another sip, humming appreciatively-

-Ian walks backwards to see the thing, which appears to be a poster-

-Ian looks at the poster for a costume party at...-

Me: The Macrauls are throwing a Halloween Party there!

Piku-chan: <A Halloween Party?! Cool!>

Me: I know it sounds cool, Piku-chan... but think about it... Macraul Manor! We were there months ago!

Me: The Raid, Piku-chan! We, along with the J-Team, raided their house for Voyd's Z-Crystal! I tried to flirt with Sylvestra!

Me: Hubby McGigantor must really hate my guts after that one...

-Ian thinks to himself- I can't go as Ian the Pikipek... That would stir up some bad memories...

-Piku-chan thinks to himself- <Maybe if Ian could dress as something now befitting his magical nature...>

Me: Of course! Maybe I could dress myself as a male witch.

Piku-chan: <Those exist?>

Me: Of course, they do, buddy! And maybe you could be my little black cat.

Me: Now... come with me, Piku-chan. I think I have some fabric for the male witch's costume...

-Ian goes into one of the empty rooms of the Stormchaser and looks through his bag for the Colorful Fabrics-

Me: ...But maybe I should consider getting some black fabric, so it looks truly witchy.

Piku-chan: <Yeah. And for the cat costume!>

Me: Good point. I think there might be some at Ersatz Alliance! Let's go!

-Ian and Piku-chan find an entrance to Ersatz Alliance and pass through-

Me: This is the place! Now... Let's go find the fabric I need...

-Ian and Piku-chan look through the baskets for black fabric-

Me: Something tells me we're not gonna be able to use our Magic words to make them go away...

Piku-chan: <What magic words are you talking about? Pirika Pirilala? Abracadabra? In the Name of the Moon, I'll punish you? Yeet?>

Me: -semi-scaredly- I was thinking "Please and Thank you"...

-Beat-

Piku-chan: <Are you serious right now!? You're a witch! You can use all sorts of magic and THAT'S what bothers you?!>

Oceanview Restaurant, Mandarin Island Marine Park - Past

Alyesha was sitting together with Matvey and watching the new species, her team already eager to begin eating. Of course, none of them knew anything about the Pokémon in the tank either, simply enjoying the view.

Alyesha meanwhile silently made a note of trying to procure some of them later to cook, given they seemingly were not only edible but also a favorite.

Upon Shutter introducing his grandfather, Alyesha bowed her head slightly, extending her hand for him.

Alyesha: "A pleasure to meet you~ And its no big deal~ Also, I'm good for now"

Upon hearing Reynard's plan to get his granddaughters jelous like that, she had to hold back a slight giggle, obviously enjoying to be here with them all.

As the talk then shifted over to Richard and then jobs, Alyesha fell silent, letting the others have their conversation without interrupting.

Then, as Galen showed up, she looked over to him after he had taken the selfie. She looked at the rest at Shutter's remark. In the end though, she just smiled rather happily, shaking Galen's hand.

Alyesha: "Also a pleasure to meet you, Galen~"

Matvey meanwhile gently tucked on Shutter's sleeve

Matvey: <Is he often that enchanted with meeting others?>

Odin: Hello C! Uh, do you know where Rita or Isa-whatsit would be?

-slowly starts getting back up-

Gaius: Thaaaaat's my Bubbles. Now, where is this Julius?

-There is a distinct smoking nearby-

Jackal keeps quiet and follows, but inside he can't help but wonder what they're walking in to.

"Enh, maybe you'll awaken here... nah not likely. Not the right environment. As for Rose, we don't leave anyone behind at Asimov. Do we."

Charger, Shutter's magnemite, floated in.

Charger: <He flirts with anything that is human and pings the basic criterion for "attractive." He goes through datemates like the J-Team go through Mobius grunts.>

Vs Fuka

Sparkers surrounded himself with flames and charged at Goosey, kind of like what he would do if he was going to use Flame Charge.

"I think I saw her roaming the halls bored."

Griffon: "You can't miss her. She's the edgy one!"

C clamped a hand down on Griffon's beak.

"Pay my demon no mind, he is an idiot."

Macraulloween

-The Amarins nod, and by some means or another, make their way out.-

Lumiose City — Post-Macraulloween

-For brevity's sake, let's say Alyssa was hospitalized properly.-

-Thanks to Eric's speedy action, she's in a pretty okay state currently. Her arm is still limited in movement, but it's there, with no amputations necessary. The scar along her back is probably going to be there for a while.-

-Really, the most noticeable change is the haircut. That's quite a lot of hair to have lost, and it feels different. Her head feels lighter, the back of her neck feels colder, and of course a slash from a weapon is going to leave a very uneven cut, which is going to have to be cleaned up eventually.-

-But as she feels her new hair length, she can't help but wonder, maybe a new style was overdue anyway.-

Chateau d'Avarice

-When the party catches up, they find Rose and Bluetongue cornered by a big, hulking beast, indiscernible in the darkness. She glances at the party, and attempts to say "help me", but makes no noise, probably related to a large welt on her throat. The area is slightly hazy and smells like paint fumes, and near the Shadow is a ruptured spraypaint can, most likely the source of the pop moments ago.-

Paula: Fuckin' fantastic. Come on, you overstuffed lizard, take on someone your own size!

-Her sunglasses come off, and Maui manifests. The creature turns to leer at the rest of the party and snarl.-

Jackal glared at what was going on, and saw Rose. He saw the beast, and something clicked.

"It hurt one of your people. It hurt a friend. It hurt someone you know from work. Will you remain motionless, or will you act... or at least react?"

Jackal charged at the beast, crushing his mask in hand, summoning Solaire who suddenly shouted, "BEGONE FOUL DEMON! THE POWER OF THE SUN WILL PURGE YOUR DISGUSTING NATURE!"

"Ooo! Actually having him talk? Fun fun!"

Solaire's helmet opened and it begun to charge a solar beam.

Kanto, Post-Raid

Finally back on terra firma, Talbain picks himself up before looking at the backpack on his shoulders. He shook his mane off, proud but exhausted.

Not quite certain of his whereabouts, the Unovan Lycanroc ascended to the top a tree to discern his location via the local Pokemon. Kanto? He asked himself as he climbed back down. He hummed as he leaned against a tree, tail thrashing.

Reluctantly, he picked himself up and began to walk around the unfamiliar environment until he decided he was ready to go home, but the sight of all those realities kept itching at the back of his mind.

Somewhere in there was a Colton with no regrets. An Absent who gave him more. A happy Unovan.

Somewhere there was an idealized version of himself; a perfect Colton.

He stuck his tongue out in disgust. No one deserved everything on a silver platter. Make the most of life while you can!

With a sharp inhale, the crisp air hit his nose, as though a solidifier of his epiphany.

Chateau d'Avarice

Rage and Love sighed, concerned but not surprised. With a flick of his blindfold Camazotz appeared, creating a Tailwind for the party.

Wanderer: -Pacing- The fact that the Red Talon is here is, well, disconcerting.

Calvin: On the way here we ran into them, or rather a Mobius base where they slaughtered most of the occupants.

Judith: They're probably here because of the rift, but are they going to be more of a problem once we fight Mobius again?

Wanderer: They wanted their technology according to Calvin, so they'll probably descend like a flock of vultures on us when they're good and ready.

Judith: -Crossing arms- Did you notice the contraband one of them left with?

Wanderer: Kinda hard not to notice the smell of Darkness on my own ship, but I didn't feel like making a scene and possibly starting a fight in the ship. I'll deal with it later.

-Groans-

Such a headache.

Sparkers vs Fuka

Fuka's eyes dart side to side trying to follow Sparkers's attack

Fuka: (to herself) Flame Charge will make him fast. (to Goosey) Don't try to dodge, Goosey. Brace yourself!

Goosey plants its feet on the deck and takes the Flame Charge. The Zangoose is staggering but still conscious.

Fuka: (to herself) He's still up, but he's not going to last another hit. Whatever I do next I've gotta make it count. What would Will do?

The thought of her little brother, far more adept at tactics than Fuka herself, gives her an idea.

Fuka: (to herself) Sparkers changed because of something on his wrist. If I can make it stop working, I win. If not, then it's up to Lucy or Elanor! (out loud) Goosey, Embargo! Aim for his feet!

Goosey runs in, body kept low, aiming a series of strikes at Sparkers's legs.

Halis is unceremoniously dumped in front of the Snowpoint Temple after remaining quiet for the rest of the trip, having taken in the sights just as everyone else did.

Halis: "...Why did I end up here again? I know I originally wanted to come here for some reason, but... I forgot what it was."

Confused, they simply sit outside the Temple, contemplating everything they've learned because of the raid, of other universes and possibilities yet to be seen, and that of their own potential...

Logan: ...hm.

Hurl yourself headlong into danger. Scrapbooking?

-examining him- But seriously...if you're part of the J-Team, I expect you're the hero type.

So just. Head to the nearest disaster, help out, and...keep hanging out with whoever's there, afterward?

Raids are where I've seen more J-Team together than anywhere else. Aside from that, wander around the Stormchaser and help whoever's lost with you. Getting stuck in an endless maze together is a great conversation-starter.

Pollen: -pointing in the direction of the smoke- <He's right over there.>

Megan: W-wait,

-flinch- Here? What how—

Pollen: <Bond-sight, remember?>

Upon hearing that, Matvey did something that others probably would have interpreted as him raising an eyebrow amused, of course he couldn't do exactly that, given his acute lack of eyebrows to raise.

Alyesha meanwhile had to smile lightly as she overheard that

Alyesha: "As flattered as I am, to not cause bad feelings later on I'll say right now that I'm already taken"

With that, she pressed a gentle kiss on what passed for a cheek with Matvey, indicating who it was she had bonded with
