If Pent and Ian were to pay attention, an athletic young man with a camera and strap hanging on his neck appeared right next to them. Also, Ian should be happy: Jonathan's been sitting there in the medic area, a bit worried but generally safe by a given value of the word.

Jon stands up and gives the young man who just arrived.

Jonathan: Okay, so glad you're safe and all, Petersen, and— what happened to you? You look a bit worse for wear.

Tommy: What did you think happened?

Jonathan: You didn't get trampled by a crowd or got attacked because you tried to save the camera, did you?

Tommy: Bread and butter.

Jonathan: Tabarnak.

Tommy: No need for that kind of language, Halliburton.

Tommy turns his attention to Pent.

Tommy: I'm here for the signup. I was recently informed by a friend of mine that I had Auric abilities. They're underdeveloped but they're there.

Jonathan: Whoa. Just like Ivan.

Tommy: Yeah, he was the first one to figure it out. Long story.

If Ian would notice, Jonathan's friend gives off a very familiar presence.

Arthur is knocked off, and is thankful his armor has protected him.

"Getting the badass boast down a little better," Fox comments.

Arthur gets up and looks over his team, "We doing okay?"

<Yep... if only you had evolved,> Ranger responded.

Arthur sighed, "Who would even wield a aegislash against this?"

Jackal cracked his neck, "Okay then. We're hurting it... Hayon. Start charging."

Hayon nodded and began to collect aura into a sphere, ~How long do I hold?~

Jonathan: I met him earlier today. Priscilla told him to send me a message.

Jonathan holds his head down. He made himself sad.

Tommy: Dude, you need your space. I could call you a Gruber if you want to go back to the hotel.

Beat.

Tommy: Also, how long is this paperwork going to take? Do we have to stay here or something.

Jonathan: Albright is still in there.

Tommy: Yeah, and I don't think I can live with myself if I don't get him out. Someone's gonna have to get him out.

Jonathan: Big deal; there's like a dozen superheroes there who could do just that.

Tommy, however, didn't seem too phased. He seemed to trust Ian, though.

Tommy: I mean, we're pretty sure Arachna-Guy can get him and his Pokémon out of there okay. But of course we'd need to tell him.

He winked at Ian and proceeded to walk outside the tent.

Colton paused, looking at Pent and what he was doing while his party fired attacks. Using one hand to keep up the assault, he approached, and signed the contract.

Village Bridge Restaurant

Silversmith flipped through the Steel type compendium. Eventually, he came across Metagross.

Silversmith: "Holy smokes that's cool! I think I'd like to see one in person. And I'm not to far away from where they're at. Perhaps even catch one? I am short on steel types, and you guys don't seem to have any suggestions."

His team was still giving him the silent treatment. Though at first he enjoyed it being like the good old days when he couldn't understand, the quiet was disquieting.

Giant Chasm

He was having second thoughts. This place looked... intimidating. He probably shouldn't be here.

Village Bridge

Even before Silversmith got out of the restaurant, Shadow had gotten up to head for the Giant Chasm.

Shadow was quietly resting when Silversmith walked in. He stood up, Mischief doing the same. Shadow noticed her expression as she looked at Silversmith. It wasn't angry, or afraid, or sad. It was completely blank. Her eyes held nothing for the Steel specialist. Neither love nor hate, just a cold stare.

Earlier he'd noticed this look being directed at others. He didn't realize it would be pointed at Silversmith. A burning anger wells up and he approaches Silversmith.

Shadow: WHAT are you doing here?! This place isn't exactly safe!

Silversmith glared as well. As far as he was concerned, he didn't do anything wrong.

Silversmith: "I was intending to witness a Metagross. However, given present company, I think you're right."

Cortez's pokeball shook like mad, and Silversmith deployed him, for safety's sake.

Cortez: <Jackson, you're gonna—Oh, hi Mischief!>

Silversmith: "We were just taking our leave. Let us exit."

Cortez: <Oh come on! Can't we talk to Shadow and Mischief?>

Silversmith: "No."

Cortez: <I'm sick of this! You're going to apologize for being mad for no reason and then—>

Cortez noticed Mischief's uncharacteristic lack of emotion.

Cortez: <...Mischief? What's wrong?>

J-con, Kolemm Boss Fight

Eris turns around and looks at the approaching Mobius troops. She thumbs another pokeball, sending out Helios.

Eris: "... Ladies, keep the Glitch occupied."

She flicks her staff back into her hand.

Eris: "Helios? We deal with Mobius."

Helios: ~With pleasure.~

The two make their way towards Mobius.

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.

While Mischief recognized Cortez, she didn't show it.

Mischief: <Everything is fine. There's nothing wrong here. Did you want something.>

Shadow was visibly fuming.

Shadow: What's wrong, Mr Honorable? You got a problem with me or my Pokemon just say it! You might as well! It can't make things worse!

Maverick wasn't watching the exchange. Instead, his gaze scanned the skies like he knew something the others didn't. Nobody paid heed, naturally. Shadow would normally have asked about it, but he was preoccupied.

Silversmith had not forgotten. He would never forget.

Silversmith: "Yes, I have a problem! You're treating me like I committed some grave sin! As far as I can tell, my list of transgressions against you is quite short! Let's see, what have I done?"

Silversmith grabbed an imaginary notebook and began dramatically writing in it.

Silversmith: "Crime number one: being wary around a Zoroark who has repeatedly tormented me! Clearly the highest offense. Crime number two! ..."

He put the imaginary pencil's erasure in his mouth as he sarcastically pondered.

Silversmith: "Well, I guess that's about it! Clearly I deserve this."

Cortez was simply stunned by Silversmith's lack of understanding and Mischief's coldness. He was speechless.

Having taken to sitting on the sidelines due to letting Pent borrow his Obscuric powaz, Colton had paused to notice the newcomers.

"Mobius!" He recognized. "Gonna have to do something about them; could probably kill two birds here."

With that detail documented, he went back to listening to his music while his team continued to attack Kolemm, not really able to do anything about half of them getting Frenzy Plant'd save for return them. Pyukumuku's Innards Out activated before he could return her, however.

Helmsman, Mae, Julius, Lucario, Caliburn and Rei all collapsed as well.

With the exception of Lamb, who had elected to parkour around the room to get a different view of the Mobius members while kiting around Kolemm, firing an arrow or two while strafing when she could.

9-Volt sent an Electroweb that also caught a few Mobius 'mons.

Roy began dishing out Blaze Kicks, while Sunny, standing behind him, covered his back by Psyshocking any 'mon that wanted to strike him behind his back.

Sylveon fired off a Dazzling Gleam at Kolemm and some Mobius 'mons.

Xatu kept up the Tailwind so Warner could ride it and deliver Brave Birds.

Pangoro!Milagros would launch an Arm Thrust at Kolemm, followed by Baby Cat using Pay Day on them. Blitz would use Swords Dance.

Shadow: And here I figured you might understand where this all went wrong! Yes, Mischief's done a couple of rather harsh things... But not once has she ever meant you harm. Not. Once.

-While Eitr is continuing with his attacks (and getting tossed around by the Frenzy Plant), the Auric Avenger is more occupied with the Mobius intervention.-
