Yeah i should take a break from Alpha before i punch my monitor. I don't udnerstand, is it just because of the cheap AI? I can't blame playstyles, Cammy plays pretty much exactly the same as in SFIV . Can't blame the controller, it's a PS 2 with the numbers filed off. Can't blame lack of general fighting game skill, i just beat KOF 2000 with 2 credits. What is it about Alpha? ARRGH.
Also i have just learned that the MAME i have does not support SFIII or Power Instinct. I am sad.

It's only unblockable in the air. I used to stay grounded when I fought him in order to bait the computer into using it so that I could go Samuel L Jackson on his ass after it's gone.
Shirow, you and I should play a game of Alpha 2 or 3 sometime. We can both embarrass ourselves together.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.On Street Fighter Alpha 3, Shin Akuma is much harder. You want a challenge, try him on level 8.
A fun "100 we learned from fighting games" that me and the IJBMers made.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Does anyone remember about the post I did about Lightning Legend Daigo No Daibouken, two pages before?
Well, I created today an article, and a Character Sheet about this fighting game from Konami. Just bringing this in case some people are interested in discovering more about this obscure game.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Not the traditional way of playing Zangief, yet effective.
OTOH, this is pretty much the ideal way to play the Honda-Hawk matchup in Super Turbo:
That Honda player was in top 10 at EVO a couple of years ago... he does know what he's doing.
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEHIGH LEVEL JAPANESE YOMI SON! (caps)
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I have given a name to my pain. And it is Super Turbo. AKA 4 hit ko rape.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I find that the old Street Fighters haven't aged well. Samsho 2 on the other hand was still enjoyable last time I played it, even though if too suffers from 4 hits you dead syndrome.
The only classic street fighter games I can ever enjoy nowadays is either Third Strike or Alpha 2/ 3
A lot of the Marvel Vs Capcom titles have aged awkwardly as well, despite being gorgeously animated otherwise (well, Children Of the Atom and Marvel Super Heroes at least.)

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Capcom was always amazing at animation. Although some of their color shading is kind of eh at times they were always the frontrunners of Sprite animation in 2D games. Even today 3rd Strike's animation is amazing.
I'm wondering what Capcom's adding to 3rd Strike Online Edition? Being Capcom probably nothing too exciting but still. If they do remix some of the music, I hope they do a better job than their job with Mv C 3 and lay off the technoish approach they've been using since SF 4.
Um... aside from Spectator Mode, some achievements, a few other additions, I think it's a straight port of the original game. System Direction, no changes to characters, etc. I'm wondering if Shin Akuma and his stage will be added back after being Dummied Out from the home ports.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI was hoping they'd include the stages from the past SF 3 games(which were definitely better done) or at least music, but eh I suppose a port w/online resolution options/extra artwork is fine. 2nd impact had a great soundtrack, arguably better than 3rd Strike's. Personally I love them both. Gill's theme in 2nd was his best IMO.
Also, did you guys know that Gill drops lyrics for his people in the ghetto? Lol.

Just recently uploaded a no-continues run of Lightning Legend Daigo No Daibouken, playing as Mayu Uzaka.
The game is JPN-only, but I fully translated and subbed the run in English so you can enjoy the storyline.
Oh hai Tropers! I'm in the running to win Capcom's art contest for Third Strike, and voting ends Sunday. A vote for my "Collage of Ryu" would surely be appreciated. If I win, I get to go to PAX Prime and meet the staff! Maybe I'll bug them about why UMVC 3 is coming so soon...
Hold on, this is no time to be hysterical!Alright. I've got some frivolous spending money. I want a new fighter. I've got a few choices.
Blaz Blue King Of Fighters XII Tekken 6 Upgrade SSFIV to Arcade Edition
Sell me a game guys.
I'm not certain its the last installation, but the characters might be worth dropping fifteen dollars on...
XIII is probably going to be out of my price range. Well, not really. I just have my price radar set to cheap bastard mode.
Are the differences between the Blaz Blues like the differences between the Street Fighter I Vs, or are they like the differences between Street Fighter II and Street Fighter III?

The former.
Continuum Shift added more characters but the mechanics are basically the same.
Ok, so if I get one, I'll likely just get the old one before it disappears from my local Game Stop. I'll upgrade if it endears itself to me.
Still haven't been exactly sold on anything yet...
Personally I'd get BBCS, and it did change some stuff from Calamity Trigger mechanic wise actually. But if you're concerned about the storyline and stuff check out Calamity Trigger too cause otherwise you'd be lost. Of course you can always look that up online, but that can be overwhelming. Due to having a tutorial mode BBCS might be easier to get into anyway.
