This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I've had a lot of luck with those two lately.
If Otto can't beat Osborn as Sp Ock, you'd think he'd do something like picking up a symbiote or something.
Wake me up at your own risk. The status quo will rear its head and Doc will hunt Peter again
Mileena MadnessI think it’s important to note that we still don't know how much of the character development he's gotten is because of Otto genuinely trying to become a better person of his own free will, and how much of it is due to the lingering influence of Peter Parker’s memories.
It's the fundamental question that this run has been built around, right from the first issue.
Otto: ....But it doesn't matter. I wasn't a well man! I've changed!
Anna: the only thing that changed, is you got Peter Parker's memories. A taste of his drive to do good. But that's no enough with you. Because deep down, you are who you are. And who you are is a selfish, arrogant, power-mad criminal.

So I recently re-read Evil That Men Do.
And I think my opinion of this has changed somewhat.
Originally, I was of the impression that the first three issues are fun and entertaining and that the story would work fine without the rape. Now, I feel the reverse. I feel the initial story is kind of dull and the humor is a bit too much on the immature side (especially when Peter makes jokes about Felicia's weight). But the topic of rape? It's actually handled a lot better than I remembered. From the way Felicia talks about how she felt when Ryan raped her to the compassion she feels for Francis Klum as a fellow rape survivor to the fear Klum feels about how it will look if his brother's abuse of him is made public. It's one of the best written stories about Felicia I've ever seen and I think the moments she has with Klum are worth keeping this story in continuity.
The story is still not without it's flaws. As said, the humor isn't that great, there's some sketchiness in regards to how the story treats Klum raping the prostitute and the contrivance of Peter showing up and going into a frenzy because he thinks Klum wanted to throw Felicia off the bridge like Norman did to Gwen. And of course, the skeevy, sexual art on Felicia.
But I do think the rape was handled much better than it was given credit for. Though I can understand if people feel it wasn't needed at all.

Otto can not sell his soul to Mephisto, because he has already given it to Emma Hernandez! The deal is null and void!
Ultimate Secret WarsWhich is all to say, that I think I trust that Christos Gage knows what he’s doing.
Umm, so this came out
Not sure what that means for the MCU, though.
This made me laugh:

Can Sony make a Spider-Man 3 if they simply cut Happy, Nick Fury and simply avoid talking about anything MCU-related, and stick to the Spider-Man related characters and concepts?
Ultimate Secret WarsDoes the Pope shit in the woods?

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I imagine that where this goes is going to depend heavily on where on The Sliding Scale of Idealism vs. Cynicism this story ultimately ends up on.

I just bought the first volume of the complete Spider-Girl set!
The other big thing I bought was the first trade of the most recent run of Superior, since I’ve been reading it digitally, and I want to want to show support for the book where it matters.
I also found the Spider-Man/X-Men comic where the “I don’t want to cure cancer! I want to turn people into Dinosaurs!” Meme came from, so I had to buy it.

x3 Did the Gunn drama last longer?
Mileena MadnessIt did, actually: Gunn was fired on July 2018 and rehired March 2019, so that lasted eight months. The Sony Spider-Man thing only lasted, like, three months.
Good God has time flied.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The Gunn thing is generally agreed to have been a complete bluff to make them look "stronger" before they bought Fox as far as I can tell.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Do you guys reckon "Spider-Zero" is the new name for Annie?
Maybe? I know Annie was the Patternmaker, destined to reweave the Web of Life and Destiny, which looks like happened. Perhaps this is a future version of her?
The preview looks cool. I love the "nanocasting through your arachnofrequency" — very science-y sounding things.
Never hope, never pray.
You are only foolhardily setting yourself up for failure.
