Guess That Trope!

I'd never have been able to guess what Audience Sucker Punch was about just from the name. As it is, it sounds like some unexpected event happening to the shock of the audience (so basically, Player Punch). Any thoughts or rename suggestions?

Is this really a trope? I mean it seems written just to bash Off-Model or No Budget. If anything it should be YMMV at the very least.

Huh — I had this vague idea it was an alt-tile of Wham Episode.

Buh? I, too, was expecting Wham Episode or Player Punch analogue. I could see something like No Background Fights for when a fight takes place with either no back ground, or a single splash color back ground. Whether this is done for cost reasons isn't really the point.

Fight smart, not fair.

Cheapskate Action Scene.

Fight Scenes Are Expensive.

You know it's kinda hard to name. I wonder the justification behind the current trope name was.

Adaptation Weaksauce Fight? I dunno, this just seems like Adaptation Decay or... something like that.

I was expecting an analogue to Player Punch. This needs a rename.

Awesome Offscreen Action Is not this "trope" though its more Awesome Fights Done Cheaply where The Animation does not live up to the hype of the source material (Again very Audience Reaction IMO) And its still more complaining about Off-Model.

Combat Created Cheaply? Might be hitting the Added Alliterative Appeal a bit too hard, but it's the best I got.

Oh god, you know what is terrible- I know we had this thread before, I know we made the point that it wasn't just leaving out animation, I know we made a point to try and use the fact that cheap tricks were being employed, I know that we were getting somewhere with a name. Can't remember any of the options though. All I do remember is that nobody liked Combat Cop Out.

We have this old crowner favoring Fight Unscene by 22 to 6 for the nearest rival.

And this one passing the rename 23 to zilch.
