Visiting other islands is exactly how I imagined it would turn out for me, which is to say that they're easy pillaging. I am once again faced with the problem of having too many items and too few places to put them without trashing my own home, but this time it's stacks of wood instead of the local fauna.
In any case, I've looted—er, visited five islands, and only once had I encountered an island with a fruit other than my own island's (pears) or coconuts. I guess that's fair, but I would really like to get some oranges, considering that my in-game mom gave me peaches, a friend gave me apples and the aforementioned visit gave me cherries.
If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?Aw man, I can only buy 5 catalog items a day and I REALLY wanted those oval glasses.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Got to agree with the islands being easy looting (minus getting the miles for the ticket), as I have looted as much of the islands as I can to get rich and materials. Probably caused some major ecological damage to the islands considering how much of the trees I've chopped down.
... My god, I've become a Captain Planet villain

Silence is golden, noise is platinum. Keelah se'laiAnyone know of an easy way to spawn seashells? I'm specifically looking for Giant Clams for one Nook task, but none are spawning into my island and the past teo islands I've visited had none.
Also, I'm currently not in a position to come over or invite one of y'all over to get one for a few hours.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I think they respawn over time in this game.
I was fishing last night and I cleaned the beach beforehand. A fair few reappeared as I was running back and forth along my coastline.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobThey almost certainly do, as I've been collecting them as I see them
Silence is golden, noise is platinum. Keelah se'laiThen it must be time spent in game because I checked when I went om my work break and nothing respawned.
Mind, I kept the game running in sleep mode.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."They respawn after a few minutes off screen
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaDoes anyone know if (spoilers for first 3 days) villagers you invite from nook miles islands in the first two days come to your island on day 3?
♭What.Caught my first tarantula, after about five failed attempts. The Fridge Logic of how a spider manages to teleport you across town to your house became very prevalent, considering that I am lead to believe that none of the other islanders have crafted up a vaulting pole let alone have access to one.
I guess Mr. Resetti finds you, muttering something about you being a dumbass for fainting to a spider, and lifts you home.
I'm assuming they'll be mentioned on the PA announcement or something, if not be wandering around when you wake up the next day.

If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?I heard that apparently one of the islands you can travel to is just covered in Tarantulas.
So if you can get that one its some good money.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobThey don't move in on day 3. Tom Nook has you select spots for their homes and make crafted furniture to furnish homes for them first. I haven't made it to day 4 yet, but I'm pretty sure they move in then.
And a note from earlier, I didn't need Giant Clams after all...
Oh well, I went and placed the Clam Fountain right next to the Plaza.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Oh, really? That's pretty cool. And an excuse to burn through my stockpiles of lumber, ahah.
So it's midnight here, and I'm wondering if there's someone with daylight hours who wants to invite me in. Hopefully with oranges too? Not that picky on either front, though. Probably going to stay up for another 45 minutes or so, so ignore this if it's at the top of the hour. No one answered my request, so off to bed I go.

If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?so I may have gotten Animal Crossing on a whim
It's pretty chill.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectAs you all probably know, you can come up with a tune for your island's anthem and you can ask Isabelle to hum it out.
Here's what happens when your anthem is Lifelight, the theme from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
She actually notes how the tune sounds familiar, which is unsurprising given she's a fighter there. I wonder if she has this reaction when you use other Nintendo tunes.
So Jwizz did a video on Animal crossing law,and Tom Nook has a surprising amount of backstory
Now where is my froggy chair..

New theme music also a boxI gotta say, I'm digging the vibe of this game. There really does seem like there's a rhythm to it. Play as much as feels right at a time until there's not much you can do to proceed further, leave it, and come back later to see how things have grown and changed. The amount of progress you make is up to you.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI looked at the tweet thread. She only says it’s familiar because the player didn’t make any changes to the already-set tune, not because the game is programmed to recognize Nintendo music.
Any word yet on if that turnip wizard still works for New Horizons? I'm hoping it does, but I'm not holding my breath.
If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?New Horizons' sales in the UK 3.5 times bigger than New Leaf's; does not include digital sales.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Do vaulting poles and slingshots break?
The Protomen enhanced my life.As far as I can tell, slingshots, vault poles, and ladders don't break
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaCan confirm that Slingshots break. No word yet on the Vaulting Pole.
If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?Guess I just haven't found enough balloons yet
Also I'm pretty sure the pole and ladder can't break, cause if they did then you could be stranded somewhere if you don't have enough to pay for rescue
