That's true (on Estelle being a heal-coholic and all. I think seeing it for herself was the only way she would have understood the danger of her power.
But Duke didn't know that. Then again, Duke might have laid it on way too thick and probably would have had push back from the party. He may not have expected foolish humans to believe him, so he didn't bother.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean it's not like those ships came from nowhere. Those aren't like when two characters have like...three friendly interactions and everyone decides they're soulmates. There's plenty of fuel for those particular cases in-game, especially Sorey and Mikleo since, unlike Asbel and Richard, there's no one else the game pairs either of them with.
I'm not usually the shipping goggles type, and I don't really ship anything actively. It's never been a thing that I get invested in. I can still see where people are coming from with those, and especially with Zestiria. I'd say that one's at least implied. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing (the people who freak out if you don't see things the way they do and like it are obnoxious no matter what fandom they're in), but this isn't one of those "haha just shippers pulling things out of nowhere" cases. There are ships like that in this fandom, but these aren't.
...I don't know why I feel the need to say this. I'm not upset or anything, just kinda confused. It's possible to disagree with someone's interpretation without being that dismissive, is all I'm saying. Maybe you're not being dismissive, but sometimes it feels like it. There are plenty of ships I'm just neutral on but can still understand why people like them.

Still better written than Bumbleby at least.
Who's that?
Oh. Yikes. That sounds really bad. Were there people who shipped it and were disappointed in a "not like this" kind of way?
Edited by SapphireBlue on Feb 28th 2020 at 7:52:14 AM
That one RWBY pairing. Became borderline official for the sake of fan pandering, wasn't even well written, they're still trying to be coy about it and its reduced Yang's character to nothing more than "Blake's girlfriend."
Alright. I've got Level 3 Overlimits, and I'm starting to learn Altered Artes.
Now, as I understand it, if you keep doing them, then they become available even after you unequip the skills right. My question is how long to you have to keep using the skills to make them show up normally...if that's even how it works.
In the mean time, I gotta start using the other characters in order to find all their Altered Artes (both Base and Burste Artes).
...wait. I just checked a wiki. Gotta use them or 50 times for the base artes. Guess I got the time.
Edit: If just check the artes in their artes list and then set it so they only use those artes, that should do it. Also a good opportunity to raise some cash too.

One Strip! One Strip!Surprisingly, yes. The latest seasons of RWBY are just...well, a total mess.
Right. So still grinding for Altered Artes....it takes a while. I'm mostly doing the arte over and over again....is there any faster way to pull it off?
Right now I'm working on Raven, and he has two or three that I need to do before they get learned properly. That's gonna be mind numbing. There's also Repede with multiple ones as well.
And there are still some weapons I haven't been able to synth yet due to not having the right materials.
It's a hassle.
One Strip! One Strip!Honestly just keep playing the story, you'll learn them faster than you think
Heart of StoneHuh. Ok then.
Then I'll get back to the story for now, and worry about learning them later....does it help if I turn off the other artes but the ones that get altered?
One Strip! One Strip!Double post:
Also, are there any clues about which techniques become altered artes with which skills?
It'd be a time saver to be honest.
One Strip! One Strip! That makes sense, but I was hoping for something more in-game.
Ok. Guess I'll just cheat.
One Strip! One Strip!Friend and I spent a lot of time doing that in Ves P S3ria and then totally forgot to use them in battle, lol . Altered artes are a nice link between base and arcane artes but are only useful for your combo machine Yuri or Rita, who gets different spells. Don't stress yourself about it, Vesperia is not a game that demands you to stop the plot to grind unlike... Zestiria...
Oh yes, I have to mention I finished my second run with the intention to get 'no item' victories.
You don't need an awfully big amount of grade to do it either. It had not much interest once you know how to power up quickly. Double exp (keeps you at a good level even skipping normal mobs) doubled arte learning (gets you all the artes at around level 25!) transfer titles and Talents... and the most important, those sweet +2000 HP at the start. It is MUCH MUCH easier to not die to cheap bosses when you have 5 times as much HP as you should. Things that killed you in one hit now you can just facetank... like a normal Tales game.
Other than that, the standard 'use normins to boost the early enemies and grab end-game gear from them' is the best you can do. A level 60 slime can seem threatening, but it only has 500 HP. Well, that was the end of me boring you with Zestiria.
7 out of 10. A good offline MMO, a bad Tales game. Too many useless / backwards mechanics. Buy, rent or avoid? If you are a Tales fan buy the PC version and mod the hell out of it.

Copying from one place is 'plagiarism'. Copying from several places, 'research'.Maybe I don't really need to bother to grind for them, but I want to. It also helps me build up cash for later stuff.
Plus, I like having everything available when I need it instead of having to go back for it later. I know an opportunity to take care of side quests will probably come up on its own, but that may take a while, so I prefer to do it now.
One Strip! One Strip!Nightingale is really useful as far as Altered Artes go. And Holy Rain is pretty good for mindless magic spam, though Angel Ring is better crown control. Or you have to practise Guardial Arte frames.
You want Distortion Slash for Flynn. Oh yes, you do. It is super good. Falling Ice and Fire Big Chef for Patty. And Bloody Howling and Eruption for Rita! Demon's Lance is embarrassingly bad though. And fo god's sake, get Elemental Master!

Done and done.
As I've said, what I really need is a way to have more points so I can use all the abilities I need when I want them.
One Strip! One Strip!Seconding Nightingale being amazing.
Thirding. It's Nurse, already one of the most efficient healing artes, but turned up to 11.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia! So it's taken me a while, but I'm finally getting the hang of Fatal Strikes.
Useful bitches they are.
Now I'm thinking it's time to re-organize my arts so Red, Blue and Green are all certain button prompts. It'd be damned useful really. That way I'm just have to remember whether to press A, the R stick, or hold the L button and do the same.
I'll probably start with Yuri and get a feel for it at some point, then switch try it for everyone.
One Strip! One Strip! So we still have no new info on Arise at all.
Current events are causing video game conferences to be postponed...though I suppose video games have suddenly become rather valuable. You do need something to do if you're going to spend all your time confined.

Well, it was not Graces the one that lit the spark, but it surely was the one that threw a massive gas tank on the fire. Seriously, just visit the Tales topic on any -chan or -booru website and 90% of it is Asbel x Richard junk. Until Sorey and Mikleo arrived, that is.
Oof, you could not stop Estelle from screwing up even if you wanted. She is a massive heal-coholic. At least is better tan Abyss, whose credits roll would have come a lot sooner (at MANY points) if the party members were not a bunch of Tigh Lipped Larry's.
Hexen island, day 256: I managed to kill my first mimic golem. I raised the Lords' levels to at least 9 each. This is coming along nicely! And my toons have most of their level 70 equipment ready. Sophie gave me as much trouble as a normal boss, unlike Mutants 'I pat you in the back and kill you and destroy the planet you are on' level strong. Then came along Jade, and I knew I had to KEEP him stunned, so I blocked Rose's arcane artes to NOT help him cast faster. Yes, the cpu are so dumb they hit casting mages with arcane artes. As their FIRST hit in a combo. The boss in between them dropped a MILLION PLUS gald with Drop bottles!
Hexen island, day 9522: dear diary, thanks to the bosses here I have become the richest man in the continent. But after I purchased everything I ever wanted those coins have become mere yellow rocks. Ironic hell much. Who was the genius that gave the cerberus recolor a regen skill? It made the battle way slower and annoying! And the Clipped-Wing Angel dragon, it had easy to dodge spells but massive resilience to being interrupted.
Hexen island, day 22573: I have all my gear ready, I am level 84, I might as well try to escape from this Martel-forsaken place. The cameo duo... not only they get 3 times as much HP as before, but they also trigger Unstoppable Rage if the other dies. So the answer is to kill them at the same time. Mikleo's joke weapon gives Mistik, so you can cast faster than Jade and keep them close together with Maelstrom. However, try and kill Jade first or you risk eating a 9999 Mystic cage that would ruin your run. After that, slowly go back to the Save Point...
VS Zombie-dragon: No, no, a Dragon Zombie would be a zombie that grew scales and wings and... oh, just talk about the fight. This sucker has a lot of HP for being, yanno, undead. The same as the Final Boss, funny enough. Stack as many Lindwer, Deemun and Lisch as you can on your chosen human and Lailah and spam Calamity flare, since it hits his Demon weak point. The Curse status is the same as ALL four status as once! And it can't be cured with anything! Change your seraph if it happens and let the other human stay dead for all I care. Its six-ball Aura is annoying, but telegraphed, same as his Curse breath. The difficulty of this fight is being a tense 10 minutes, but otherwise less bad than the Final Boss damage race.
My exact feelings, colonel. Now onto NG+ to grab those 'no item' victories.
