I dunno, racism is basically the entire reason why Symphonia happened in the first place. Phantasia arguably qualifies depending on material that isn't in the game. Personally, its more of a Dysfunction Junction to me.
Other then that, I don't recall any other of the games that has it as a central issue that exists over the rest of the story. Usually its just one character getting hit with it, if that.
Phantasia totally qualifies! In fact, its universe has not changed much since Symphonia: there is still elf VS human issues. Humans think elves are weird and unnatural, elves think humans are low and barbaric. And then half elves: elves think they are impure, humans think they are people with access to magic and super long lifespans. In other words, mutants. Symphonia's Pope is an example of how interracial marriage turns sour when Reality quicks in.
What about 'the race suffering from racism is usually white'? Celestians are black and have magic stones on their heads: analogy to Africans and their tribal jewelry? Same as Gajumas compared to american indians, burly and muscled and covered in furs. I can concede Ferines and Krytians, but The Fair Folk are usually treated with envy and greed in fiction (its like elves only exist to be abused, hentai or not.) Riezemaxians and Elympians is more a case of mages VS muggles.

Copying from one place is 'plagiarism'. Copying from several places, 'research'.Well, I meant it being integral to the overarching plot. Without supplementary material, its really not prevalent unless it has anything to do with Arche.
You know, every time I see Arche's name, all I can think about is "I bet Arche fucks like a tiger!"
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I remember playing the Dejap fantranslation of Phantasia during my younger days, and when I reached... THAT scene, I was like.
"...Excuse me?"

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.She's still the best. THE BEST!
But yeah, the De Jap translation sure was a thing. It wasn't terrible, but when it off the rails, it went off.
And for years, people considered that the de-facto translation.
I guess that's what happens when you're first out of the gate.
One Strip! One Strip!Nowadays I see that translation in a similar vein to the J2E FF4 romhack. I mean there was some effort but they went a bit too silly.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowTo this day I still stand by Ratatosk was right in Symphonia 2: just Kill All Humans. Solves all problems.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Ratatosk wasn't just mad at humans.
You recall he was pissed at Elves and Half Elves as well.
So the real solution is kill everyone.
One Strip! One Strip! All the same crap. Human, Ningen, Mortals, etc.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Vote Cthullu. Why end human life when you can end existence itself?
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash. If Ratatosk won, Tales of Phantasia could not exist. This is an unacceptable outcome. Nuke Ratatosk from orbit.
Oissu!Phantasia had its chance. The world needs saving from humanity.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I vote Gargos. Humans just need a little Shadow energy to broaden their horizons. Or similarly, ARIA because Ultratech tend to know best.
....Tales/Killer Instinct crossover, make it happen.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowI'd like a Tales games about the downfall of the Phantasia world at the height of its Mana-based society.
Everybody dies to a Demon Invasion and poisoned environment.
And it happens because Humans built a Mana Cannon (again).
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. That's what's meant to happen at Suzu's time in NDX. It was only avoided because the twins changed history as Arche knows it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerMana Cannons: Best invention for destroying the world. It did so well they made it multiple times.
If at first you don't destroy the world try and try again!
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I liked it better when they only built the mana canon because of asshole DHAOS’ invasion, instead of it existing because LOL! Humans Are the Real Monsters so of course they did it!
So I didnt much care Symphonia so I barely played it. But I am bored and want to give Tales another chance to win me over. I only have a PSTV at present though so I only have Hearts R to play.
I just entered Kohaku's Spiria maze and I want to start using Soma Build Points to strengthen Kor. I am just wondering, can I customize all party members like this? Also can I control whoever I want?
At the end of Star Ocean 4 I preferred to control casters and healers and just wondering if I will be able to do that here. If I can I will just make Kor a Fighter.
Are both the PS 3 / PS 4 controllers compatible with the PSTV? Does it include any out of the box?
(By the way, KOR is a stupid change. You read 'Kor' yet the voices keep callig him 'Shing'.) You can distribute points gained at level ups to your stats but there is a cap. Kohak f.e. will never be as strong casting spells as Beryl, the dedicated mage.
@ the ones above: Heeey, without Ratatosk rewriting reality there would NOT be a Phantasia to discuss about. He changed the effects of mana absence from The End of the World as We Know It to a mere The Magic Goes Away. Then again, Derris Kharlan drifted away thousands of years ago, Kratos at the wheel.. Why would Dhaos feel the need to go back to that gross human-filled rock to recharge his Mana Tree? Would not it be faster to terraform another different planet like they did with Earth?

Copying from one place is 'plagiarism'. Copying from several places, 'research'.I THINK you can use PS 3 controllers on the PSTV if you have a USB lead. I think. I don't have a PSTV so I haven't checked.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you know
Yeah, the Fantastic Racism in the Tales series is just kinda... there. A footnote. Out of the games that I've played, the only one where it's actually kinda sorta important (not really) is Symphonia.
