Six Death Note Pileup

And another Kira shall rise…

In the year 2014, about 4 years after the death of the first Kira, life had (almost) changed back to normal. Crime rates had almost went back to what they were in 2002, and L (Near) and Watari (Roger) maintain their legacy. However, the Wammy House had long disbanded and besides C-Kira, no other Kira had emerged.

Until one day, when a group of six rouge Shinigami inspired by Ryuk decided to steal several Death Notes out of boredom. At the same time, they one by one dropped their extra Notes down to the world. Some of them landed near each other, while others were half the world away from the rest. But all of the Death Notes landed near someone who has the potential to be Kira.

However, since the disbanding of the Wammy House, several Wammy Kids spread out throughout the globe. Each one had the potential to become L, but never had the chance. But when Kira rises again, they will rise too.

The question is, who will win this time?

Welcome to Six Death Note Pileup! This is a RP concerning the events after the manga (not the anime, or the movies, or the novels). Basically, it is set in the very near future, after the C-Kira one-shot. The players will be divided into the Kira’s and the Wammy Kids’s. Remember this fact.

To order to play, you must be well-versed in the canon, including knowing the rules. It is recommended that you either have Death Note 13: How to Read, or you print out a list of information That means no bringing people back to life (do I hear Mello X Matt lovers?).

Pay attention when you create a character. If you are a Kira, you must also create a Shinigami (an original one, no Ryuk). If you are a Wammy Kid, act like you’re a genius, and don’t forget to include a quirk (like eating candy).

So, I posted this on another site a few months ago, but it died off. Pretty much the goal is to see how things might unfold with six Death Notes in play, along with six Wammy Kids. Basically, it’s a huge experiment.

Here how it goes: In Phrase One, all six Death Notes drop to Earth to their respective character. During Phrase One, which is one week in game time, it is the character’s time to experiment with the Death Note and establish their main motives. It’s also the Wammy Kid’s time to establish their resources, their alliances, etc.

Phrase Two is when Kira, or a bunch of Kiras, are officially back. It is the time to pair up the Kiras and Wammy Kids and for the Kiras to try to find each other. More alliance making can be made.

Phrase Three: Six Death Note Pileup Time! The goal for the Kiras is to try to find the Wammy Kid’s names, and the Wammy Kid’s goal is to find Kira and arrest them. Gambiting is encourage, because if you capture the enemy the wrong way, everyone might pile up on you. The Wammy Kids have the advantage because they could capture the Kiras easily, but the Kiras must try harder to capture but not kill the Wammy Kids.

One more note (no pun intended), if a Kira quits, anyone can steal their Death Note. A Wammy Kid who receives it has a great advantage, but is prone to attack from everyone else.

Phrase Four: It’s fair game guys! Everyone that has a Death Note can write down any names they know. When your name is written down, you must obey the parameters or you’ll drop down in a heart attack. Your pretty much doomed, but you can help your allies.

Phrase Five: You win if your alliance is the last one standing. That doesn’t mean if there are only Kiras or Wammy Kids left. The remanding players are encourage to form an alliance for an ally win, if the alliance’s goal is not contrary to your character’s goal.

Also, anyone interested to be a Game Master can ask. I might lose interest or might not able to check daily. Your job as a Game Master is to control NP Cs and shake things up.

Rules

1. Follow all TV RPG rules. 2. Keep this PG-13. That means no "gorn" or "cybering", If you want to cyber, take it to the P Ms for our mind's sake. Borderline material is acceptable, but only if use in moderation. 3. You must write at least one paragraph with at least decent grammar and spelling per post. 4. You may have one character at the start, but a Kira is still considered one character even though you are R Ping two characters. 5. If you want to only RP a Kira or a Shinigami, make a deal with another player. 6. No godmodding. 7. Do not kill off any of the other players without their or mine permission! If they are leaving, they’re fair game. Basically, it’s a race to write their name first to use them to your advantage. 8. Be realistic. 9. I, as Game Master, can overwrite any of the above rule. I can make other rules when needed.

We will start when we have at least three Kiras or three Wammy Kids. There can be only six Kiras at one time.

Name: Jace Winfeldt

City: Sacramento

Age: 15

Appearance: A really nice looking young man, he always has a smile on his face, he has blond hair and green eyes, and a relatively muscular frame. He is fond of sleeveless shirts, jackets, and jeans.

Personality: The Nice Guy, basically, but he is also rather conflicted due to the event which just happened. He found a Death Note, and wound up befriending a Shinigami, and now he has a complex decision in front of him: use the Note to cleanse the world of criminals or just leave it be / only use it in severe circumstances. This wears heavily on his personality. It does not help that he has some bipolar tendencies.

Background: He is the jock, the guy everybody likes, he gets good grades, and he makes sure to let people know he is not a Jerk Jock. He is an amiable, social young man. He is even nice to his Shinigami, who is a rather helpful fellow in return. Jace is a bit of a pervert sometimes, and can be indecisive.

Shinigami Name: Belfort

Gender: male

Personality: He is a rather conflicted guy, and his lack of friends makes it so he has very poor self esteem. Being a Shinigami does NOT help at all. He is a good natured little fellow, and tries to help his partner make decisions, but he is not often a big help. He is smart, but is too lazy to make much use of his smarts.

Favorite Food: Bananas. "And they are not fricking Blood Bananas! Stop making stupid meme references!"

Other: Belfort was pressured into this by his friends, and was always known as a bit of a pushover. He just wants to be seen as "cool."

Name: Arthur Byron

City: Boston (originally from down south)

Age: 23

Appearance: Stands about 5' 8" , and has black hair, and brown eyes, he has pale skin from staying indoors mostly. He is thin and has pieced ears pierced twice in each ear.

Personality: Arthur has always thought that he was destined for greatest. Arthur is gifted writer, he has a complex that he believes that he is destined to change the world but the intellect to know how to do it. He is warm and caring but has a temper.

Background: Born into a religious family, He was found out to have a gay lover four years ago, and in a rage his father killed his lover and was about to kill him for "Blasphemy against god" but the cops showed up and arrested him. He prayed for Kira to kill him and exact vengeance bur death never came the same day his lover was ripped from his arms, Kira also died. So Arthur took the pen into his own hands and under the Pseudonym Derek Righter he began to write out his sorrows and frustrations creating very political works all of which his father would have disagreed with out of spite.

Shinigami Name: Alberster

Gender: Male

Personality: Alberster is very lay back and stoic but fun loving atimes. He often switches between disinterested and excited Genki Shinigami.

Favorite Food: Pancakes

Other: Wears goggles and has a fondness for scarfs, sweaters, knitting and the color brown.

Name: Jùn Āshǐnà (阿史那珺)

City: Shenyang, PRC (infamous for an actual RL incident involving Death Notes)

Age: 16

Appearance: Jùn is about 166 centimeters and appears strict with her generally sharp features. Her hair is unusually wavy, but she cuts it short at her shoulders and perfectly evenly parts it on her forehead. Her skin is worryingly pale but her hair jet black, as is the general aesthetic preference in most of Asia.

Background: Jùn never expected much out of her life. Her father was a general in a clearly neglected branch of the army and showered most of his attention on her younger brother. She never bore either of them any particular ill will, but often help but feel left out. Jùn wasn't a wonderful student in school, always lagging a bit behind her peers, and often being teased for it. She became also poorly thought of for being "easy", mostly because of her tendency to be quickly dumped as (others rarely maintain interest toward her for long), and cycle through. One day, the "Kira kraze" hit her school as students made "Kira books", writing in names that they wished Kira would kill. Unpopular teachers topped the list of course, but Jùn figured prominently in them. One day, she found out that fact, broke down, refused to go to school, and locked herself in her room until parental-derived guilt forced her out, when the friendly neighborhood shinigami had his interest piqued...

Personality: Jùn is often thought of as being simultaneously "slow" and "depressing", but she holds a surprising level of street savvy for one not socially "plugged-in". She tries to be stiff, formal, and emotionless as possible when interacting with others, but often lets facets of her personality slip through. She tends to be very whimsical, is easily inspired, and finds it difficult to stay and commit towards one path of action. She is usually passive and finds it difficult to even slap insects (she has never killed one before)...but perhaps writing names will be easier. Her mother, a semi-secret Christian convert, continually tries to promote her morals to Jùn, but Jùn's dark outlook on life makes such effort mostly worthless. Despite that, Jùn is deathly afraid of "disappointing her parents", and despite her general low opinion of many things, is determined to always be seen as a "good daughter". She is often highly anxious and easily stressed out, but also rarely jumps to anger, often remaining outwardly calm even if emotionally crushed or enraged inside.

Shinigami Name: Tamikanno

Gender: Male

Personality: Tamikanno is "pretty damn" sadistic even by shinigami standards. Despite his deep sadism, Tamikanno is also fiercely sentimental, being notorious in the shinigami world for being an endless hoarder (as he refuses to throw anything away ever no matter what). In fact, he often dedicates huge amounts of time in the shinigami world (he has much time), organizing his items of sentimental value. He becomes fiercely attached to the humans he works with, not out of emotional love (as he has survived losing a Kira before), but because he views his "tools of amusement" with great sentiment. They are perhaps loved, but as wonderful toys, not as other beings, facilitating his further survival. Despite how amazingly fun he finds working with a Death Note user is, he loathes parting with them as his hoarder instincts kick him, so was hesitant to find another. He has lost two before, and he found those painful experiences. Of course, he brought "momentos" back to his lair, but they weren't anywhere near as amusing.

Favorite Food: Kim Chi

Other: Tamikanno loves bizarre deaths and is always encouraging Death Note users to find more innovative (and brutal) ways of killing people.

• City: Taipei
• Age: 15
• Appearance: Incredibly unkempt appearance; ratty hair, old torn clothes, no shoes, and cuts and bruises on numerous places on his body.
• Personality: Very, very bitter at the world. Hates everyone and everything, but masks it behind a massive front of endless sarcasm. Finds great joy in manipulating people to his will.
• Background: He grew up on the streets of Taipei, and fought for everything his entire life. He's run multiple gangs, but gets them all killed after too long by sending them into ambushes and the like. He's also become rather good at reading body language to watch for threatening movements, when people lie, and masking these movements in his own body language, though they are not completely gone.
• Other: His name is the first English word he learned. Misspelled, though.
