Considering there's an actual forum rule about not posting in a thread just to say you don't like the subject. Which is precisely what you're doing.

I mean, on one hand, if you're not fond of it, why do you try to talk about it? If you don't like it, you can move on if it's no longer to your taste.
On another hand, yes, that can be used to try to shut down any complaints or criticisms one might have.
Granted, I'm just bringing this up because I don't have much else to say.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I genuinely like some of Chuck stuff, just much less than while back. I just thought that some Constructive Criticism, wouldn't hurt. Hell, thanks to him I started watching Trek.
There's no need to get defensive.
I'm with , you're allowed to criticize the subject of the discussion. It's not posting in a threat just to say you don't like it if you write a calm post explaining what you find problematic or not to your taste about the subject at hand.
Some of his reviews can be pretty in depth. The Star Wars "Hero's Journey" documentary he made a while ago being a good example of this. Also check out his review of Gojira. or the Quatermass Experiment. He obviously had some things to say about those, and had done research for those reviews. Granted, he doesn't always get things right, but he tries.
Finally he did the Beyond review, though I wonder why he didn't score it. Shame really that the Kelvin movies are terminated because the casting is perfect and Beyond was finally making them do proper stuff.
Ah well, better going out with the bang rather than going Nemesis.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.I don't want directors who blindly follow a franchise or work or who just toss things into their movie because "the fans expect it or will like it" (looking at you Zack Synder).
But a creator should respect the work.
Beyond was a popcorn movie with Star Trek as window dressing. So many missed plot points. Like Into Darkness, the movie was so in love with the idea that the plot suffered.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be a case on The First 48How do you make the thumbnail show up?

In other news, Chuck is - at least for the time being - out of Choas Mode. Today's episode is the Firefly episode "Serenity", and Saturday's episode will be a discussion of Jaws. (Am personally curious to see if he mentions the author's regrets over writing the original book due to how it affected what people thought of sharks.)

Wait, the first episode of Firefly is called Serenity, but the movie that comes after the series is also called Serenity? Doesn't that get confusing?
Yep. To be honest, I was kind of wondering which one it would be myself.
A discussion of Jaws? So does that mean it's going to be different from his usual videos?
Yeah this might be the first thing he does that really isn't in any way speculative fiction
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.
Ah yes, good ol' Don't Like? Don't Read! argument.
