So, will this thread lead us to the mystery of England Sinking?
What else might it connect with?
We're gonna get around to the sinking thing sooner or later.
Where is the circus cook with the calming pie when you need him?
Ahhh, crazy people in positions of authority. Life would be so much less interesting without them. (And also less terrifying, especially for the people who have to take care of them/work around them).

And that is why you never forget your medicine...
Well here goes nothingTry some dried frog pills, those are supposed to work pretty well.
It seems that these creatures regard humans as the cosmic horrors. I like these last few strips. It’s going in an unexpected direction, but in a good way.
Considering the things we've seen the humans do, I'm not surprised they are the cosmic horrors to them!

Well, that answers that.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.So...giant sea monster right?
Disgusted, but not surprisedOne of the previously-mentioned Great Cetaceans.
It's also probably about to gobble up Agatha and co. too - "that big dark patch with the lights".
Now I'm thinking of Baron Munchausen and his most efficacious pinch of snuff.
And Ahnkokanth sounds rather Lovecraftian.
More like a combination of "Ankh" and "coelacanth".
Yeah, this whole storyline seems to be sending up Lovecraft.
Isn't it, though? However, I wonder about the pronoun "they". The sea monster has multiple personality disorder? Or is so big it requires multiple brains to navigate? I'm looking forward to Monday.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Or, they are gender nonbinary. <shrugs>
Given the fishy theme, that's more than likely. Start nonspecific, become a boy, grow towards girl, maybe go back to boy if the population suddenly lacks males...
Royal "They".

Mysterious colours unlike any seen on Earth.
This is reference to a reference. Cookie to anyone who gets both.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Yeah that sounded in Red's sarcasmy voice in my head.

Bojack, right?
Soooo, how long until Agatha(or Higgs) talks to one directly, you think?
What if the Citadel of Silver Light is in one of the Great Cetaceans / *is* one of them? That would explain the "that's why we were never able to find it", as well as the fact that she seems pretty good at showing up in an underwater base and *may* be the one that got Prende's Lantern (though that could also have been done by agents of the Great Cetaceans?). It doesn't mesh with the fact that she seems to have lost most of her older tech and can't even build a new body though.
If he shows up again before the England trip is over, it’ll seem like major overkill to dump him into another dimension as a way to temporarily take him out of the narrative.
