  • Best Known for the Fanservice: For those that have heard of the game at all, it's remembered for two things, and not much else.
  • Goddamned Bats: Many of the smaller fast enemies qualify, but the reigning examples are the Ghosts that flying around the levels, passing through geometry, and making lunging attacks frequently. They're also sure to spawn in vast numbers whenever they appear.
  • Guide Dang It!: Towards the end of the game, the enemies begin displaying wildly different behaviors and weaknesses than what's listed in the bestiary (some enemies now teleport when hit, and some that were weak to Ice are now only weak to Light, etc). The final fight against the Dark also qualifies since one of his phases requires a specific magic combo to ensure you can even damage him.
  • It's Short, So It Sucks!: Even with all the unnecessary padding, spongey bosses, and repetitive levels, the game can be finished in under 5 hours, leaving many players unsatisfied.
  • Padding: A major criticism is how repetitive the game is, primarily due to many levels insisting on pitting you against massive hordes of mooks numbered in literal hundreds, as they constantly spawn in a slow trickle when they die, until an unseen reservoir is finally emptied
  • So Okay, It's Average: The game seems to have a worse reputation than it really deserves. The combat is still fun, if a bit grindy at times, and the ruins Ayumi explores have some pretty cool level designs. It's nothing special, but still enjoyable and competently executed.
