YMMV / Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp

• Surprisingly Improved Sequel: While not a masterpiece by a long shot, many people who were turned off by its predecessor and were expecting this film to be just as bad, if not worse, were genuinely shocked and surprised when it featured Buzz Buzzard and Wally Walrus, put more screen time on Woody and his antics and toned down the Toilet Humor that was prevalent in the previous film. It also helps that unlike the Grimes brothers in the first film, Buzz is treated as a slightly more serious and credible threat, albeit still very much The Comically Serious.
• Unexpected Character: The appearance of both Buzz Buzzard and Wally Walrus in the film was surprising to everyone, especially since these types of films focus solely on the smaller characters like The Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
