YMMV / Welcome to Pooh Corner

  • Cult Classic: While the show has since fallen into obscurity, it has developed a cult following over the years, largely consisting of those who grew up with it back in the 80s and 90s.
  • Don't Shoot the Message: "Too Smart for Strangers" is an infamous episode because, while it does teach the right messages (not to go with strangers, that people might try to trick kids, and even that dangerous people could be acquaintances as well as strangers), it felt awkward having characters from a franchise like Winnie the Pooh talking about such a dark topic.
  • Narm Charm: As strange and silly-looking as the show is today, it is still a charming show that is still well regarded by most who grew up with it.
  • Special Effect Failure: As technically impressive as they were in 1983, the costumes are rather limited in regards to the animatronics and come off a little more than mobile Teddy Ruxpin dolls these days (both were made by Ken Forsse).
