• Designated Hero: Shinya. Most of the time he doesn't believe he is one.
• Tear Jerker:
  • The chapters towards the end is filled with these... the most triumphant being when Shinya is forced to choose between using Atropos to restore the state of Celestia and Earth or healing Haruna's incurable illness. Haruna, however, died in Shinya's arms just before Shinya can take the second option.
  • Lilu. CURSE YOU, CREATOR. To be fair, this motif is a sort of Creator Thumbprint for Suu Minazuki, but we only know of this later (Heaven's Lost Property ends with a similar note) as Watashi no Messiah-sama was his first mainstream work.
• The Woobie:
  • Shinya. Being an All-Loving Hero worsens his predicament, if any. He does get the perks of being an Iron Woobie.
  • Lilu. Oh Lord, Lilu.
