• Accidental Innuendo: In "The Volcano", the Butlers and the cave people are using leather strips in several building projects which they use the seldom descriptor of "leather thongs". But in one scene Katie, the show's teen-age girl, has some trouble with one and mentions that "leather thongs are slippery when wet".
  • In "Forbidden Fruit" Lok thanks Katie tell her he will teach her how to catch the big slippery eel.
• Cult Classic: Not a major Hanna-Barbera series but one with a fair share of respect among it's fans to this day, mainly due to being one of the few straight action/adventure shows they produced in the 1970s.
• Shipping: As usual with HB, let's talk the subtext.
  • While both sets of parents, which are Happily Married, both sets of kids are opposite sex and the same ages that enough is to merit this trope.
  • Katie follows Lok around on just about every mission and is not shy about complimenting him.
  • Likewise Tana and Greg are pretty close friends but are a bit of a Toy Ship
• Tear Jerker: "S.O.S." features the Butlers get close to getting rescued by alerting a newly passing plane with a signal during a rough rain storm. Unfortunately due to them not helping the cave people, the dam breaks and Gorok becomes trapped under a tree and nearly dies. The Butler family sacrifice their chance to be rescued to go and save their friend. It's probably the strongest episode emotion wise.
