  • Is Girlfriend's look in the song a bit too much? Is it too exploitative, or does it fit with with the more sexual elements of both the ''Friday'' slasher franchise and the "Friday" rhythm game?
  • Boyfriend's vocals have a warbling effect during the song, and fans are split on wherever it sounds fine or is too hard on the ears. Relevent to mention, he doesn't have this effect during "Relentless".
• Memetic Mutation/ Common Knowledge: It's quite common for fans to refer to the Fanservice of Girlfriend as a "distraction mechanic". The song in question, "Drowned Memiors", doesn't actually have a mechanic; it just happens to take place while Boyfriend and Girlfriend were Skinny Dipping.
