  • Everyone Is Jesus in Purgatory: Several viewers noticed the parallels between Old Fontaine and Yakub, an ancient black scientist who, according to the Nation of Islam, created a eugenics program that produced the white race.
  • Funny Moments:
    • Slick Charles describes Fontaine getting shot as "Pulling a 50 Cent."
    • While exploring the lab, Yo-yo grabs two random beakers and mixes their contents. The resulting reaction causes Fontaine to accidentally let his trigger finger loose, killing they guy in front of them.
    • After a tense standoff in the barbershop between Fontaine and a dumbfounded/aggravated Isaac (who is shocked that Fontaine seemingly came back from the dead), Isaac promises that they'll confront each other again and brandishes his hip holster...only to realize he's wearing a chair cloth, and so has to awkwardly shift it to the side to show what he's packing.
    • After getting out of the barbershop, Fontaine and Yo-Yo resolve to try to find Slick Charles, who accidentally got taken away by the people in the conspiracy he was trying to track. Yo-Yo decides to try to phone Charles, only to get annoyed when she realizes he left his phone in the car she and Fontaine are in.
    • Once they find Charles in the van and get him out, Charles expresses reluctance to go into the church they're parked at, noting that "him and Jesus ain't been right since I pimped this girl named Mary".
    • When Fontaine asks Isaac to shoot him, Isaac actually rehearses his lines like an actor. When one of his underlings praises his performance and compares him to Denzel Washington, he asks if he's more like Training Day or The Book of Eli. He's not happy when he hears the latter.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • After finding out he's a clone and that his mother isn't real, Fontaine gives up on investigating the lab or protecting the Glen until Junebug visits him and reminds him that some parts of the Glen are worth fighting for.
    • The people of the Glen working together to care for the recently freed clones.
    • Fontaine, Yo-yo, and Slick Charles deciding to travel together and take down cloning facilities in other cities.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • Fontaine opening the door to his mother's bedroom and finding out she was never real, just a speaker box playing prerecorded lines.
    • Old Fontaine revealing that Fontaine's memories of his dead brother are real and recounting the memory of the aftermath of his death.
