• Genius Bonus: Historically, it's been debated whether the saying that Helen of Troy's beauty launched ships was a compliment or an insult. This episode goes with the latter!
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Two years prior, Hell-O-Ween, a strip in "The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror'', also featured music from the band Styx playing in a Fire and Brimstone Hell.
