YMMV / The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent

Go To

  • Broken Base: Were the changes made to Kyle's arc in the anime successful in complicating his character or made a foolish character too sympathetic?
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: The Second Prince, Rain, only appeared a few times. And yet fans already clamored over him due to what little is shown of him as The Wise Prince, to a point some fans wished that he's actually the Crown Prince instead of his brother, Prince Kyle.
  • Escapist Character: Sei can be considered this. She's an ordinary Japanese Office Lady (with a vague background for extra ease of self-insertion) who's been summoned to a fantasy world. She gets OP powers on arrival and is able to do vast amount of work with almost no effort. Because her work no longer exhausts her, she is able to take care of her appearance more, and the fact that she now has maids doesn't hurt either. She has an attractive love interest who is obviously only interested in her, and is surrounded by attractive men and women who value her. Most of the conflicts involving her (e.g. the Kyle situation) are resolved by others. Even the king owes her a debt. Sure, she occasionally has to risk her life, but since this is a slice of life series, there isn't much tension and she mostly spends the time experimenting with cooking, making cosmetics, and generally doing whatever she wants.
  • Flat Character: Most of the characters (except probably Kyle) can have their whole personalities summed up as just being nice. Special mention goes out to Albert, whose entire character can be boiled down to being "nice" and "likes Sei."
  • Friendly Fandoms: With Redo of Healer weirdly enough despite how very different both shows are with the only one thing in common being Healers as the Chosen One.
  • Unnecessary Makeover: Some fans who liked Sei's Meganekko design were disappointed when her eyesight was quickly fixed (episode 2 in the anime) and she stopped wearing glasses permanently.
