• Awesome Ego: The Naked Doctor is so blasé about his lack of apparel that it is hard to dislike him.
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The First Doctor sits on a chair that ejects him through the roof of the hospital but returns moments later apparently unharmed and does not mention the incident.
• Crosses the Line Twice: The idea that the Doctor would spend an entire incarnation in the nude is absurd but not so ludicrous that it breaks the laws of the Whoniverse.
• Dancing Bear: The Naked Doctor is arguably more of a gimmick than a character in his own right.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: The Naked Doctor proved quite popular among the cast, in part due to the fact that Thomas Ahearn committed to the role by playing it naked. There was even talk of giving the character a spin-off.
• Retroactive Recognition: Jonathon Carley went on to play the War Doctor in the official Big Finish audio range.
