• Best Known for the Fanservice: For many this film served as a reminder that Jennifer Lopez is still very attractive and can rock lingere.
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The brief sex scene after the Fall Fling where Allie performs oral sex on Noah. It doesn't have any context nor is it ever brought up.
• Moral Event Horizon: Noah may start to lose any hope for redemption when he stalks Claire and refuses to leave her alone, but he immediately loses any hope of it by the time he vandalizes the school bathroom and attempts to rape her.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The scene where Noah beats up Jason is quite intense. He repeatedly bashed his head against a locker and was dangerously close to killing him.
  • When Claire is fighting Noah, she stabs him in the eye with one of Kevin's epipens and later proceeds to poke his injured eye with her finger.
• They Copied It, So It Sucks!: The movie is easily by far the closest "ripoff" to Fatal Attraction in the entire genre, the only real major change in that it's done in the opposite way. The film is also commonly compared in this way to The Crush and Fear (1996), as both involved teenage villains.
• The Un-Twist: No one is really surprised when Claire learns that Noah tried to kill her husband and her son by sabotaging the brakes on Garret's car.
