• Complete Monster: Gaston. Before ending up in Fred and Erma's eatery, he was a Serial Killer who murdered several people in other states. Murdering Fred's landlord to make him into steaks, Gaston proceeds to murder numerous other people to put them on the menu. When he realizes the heat is upon him, Gaston attempts to murder Fred and Erma before making his escape.
• Diagnosed by the Audience: Fred's complete and utter inability to deviate from a plan after setting his mind to it may bring to mind the idea that he has a form of OCD. Of course, when he gets hooked on the taste of human flesh, it may escalate to something else.
• Esoteric Happy Ending: The murderous Gaston is taken out of the picture by the married couple he used to work for. While this is treated as a karma-driven happy ending, the restaurant still stays open for business by the end of the episode. It's pretty safe to say that people will keep on going missing and served as the restaurant's lunch specials, especially now that Farley (with his police influence) is the new business partner.
