• Ensemble Dark Horse: El Desperado, Suzuki-gun's main junior heavyweight wrestler, is among the most popular members of New Japan's roster due to his charisma on the mic, aggressive wrestling style, and his Cool Mask. Fans often pined for him to one day get a run with the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight belt, which he finally got in 2021 after years of he and Yoshinobu Kanemaru being solidly perched as the company's top heel junior heavyweight tag team. In fact, Desperado's first Junior Heavyweight singles championship reign occurred roughly around the same time as his and Kanemaru's fourth Junior Heeavyweight Tag Team title run.
• Older Than They Think: The United Empire's "X" gimmick that they used to debut both Jeff Cobb and Aaron Henare as members was done years prior by Suzuki-gun to reintroduce Shelton Benjamin as their newest member. Shelton even kept the X in the middle of his name during this tenure.
• X-Pac Heat: The stable got hit with it after the initial shock of their return to New Japan at the beginning of 2017 fizzled out as fans quickly grew tired of the constant and predictable interference in their matches. It also didn't help Suzuki-gun that they came back at the height of Bullet Club's popularity and the rise of L.I.J. turning them into a Big Bad Wannabe stable almost instantly. Suzuki managed to avoid most of it thanks to his fearsome reputation, while TAKA Michinoku and Zack Sabre Jr. became a worthy attraction.
