• The Un-Twist: Given Hondo’s Heel–Face Revolving Door history and his overt friendliness with Ezra, the audience expects Hondo to suddenly backstab Ezra. Aside from lying about Vizago’s imprisonment and stealing the Phantom, which are fairly innocuous compared to what Hondo is capable of, he never betrays Ezra and in fact genuinely wants him on his crew, in part due to Pet the Dog and in other part due to the Pragmatic Villainy of having a Jedi on your pirate crew.
