• Actor Shipping: Jung Haein (Sooho) and Kim Jisoo (Yeongro) have gotten a lot of this from the fandom. If the "snowdrop" search tag on Wattpad is anything to go by, there are probably more fics of them than fics of the show, not helped by some YouTube uploads invoking I Am Not Leonard Nimoy in regard to their characters.
• Just Here for Godzilla: BLACKPINK fans watch the show to see Jisoo in her first main acting role. The show probably would not have gotten as much international publicity without her.
• No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: From the moment the show was announced, a Vocal Minority started trying to get it cancelled amid pre-release speculation about out-of-context information that leaked early in production. This was a factor in the highly politicized knee-jerk backlash in Korea against the first two episodes, which aired on back-to-back days. The backlash was so strong that, just three days after the show premiered, some people tried to sue to get the show cancelled, only for the suit to be thrown out just eight days later due to the court finding insufficient evidence to back the accusations made against the show. When Disney+ made the show available for streaming, it became the platform's most-streamed show in Korea for a few weeks.
