  • Common Knowledge: Hiker Mike is the winner of the Throwbot Building Challenge and became Official Fan-Submitted Content, right? Actually, he is merely one of 25 first place winners; 5 grand prize winners (Eco-Rover, Ultimus, Taurusaur, Transbot, and Ultro) received bigger rewards and were also featured in the same issue of LEGO Mania Magazine. What's special about Hiker Mike is that he is the only first place winner featured in that issue, and the only winner overall to have received officially published building instructions.
  • Epileptic Trees: Filling in the gaps in the story was deliberately encouraged by LEGO, but since the presentation was so minimal and yet still contradictory in many ways, virtually every fan developed wildly Fanon ideas about the characters and premises — to the point where some would argue over stuff that had absolutely no basis in the official material.
  • Fan Nickname: The theme has been dubbed "Hajító profik" ("Throwing whizzes") by members of the Hungarian LEGO community.
  • Unfortunate Character Design: Granted, most of the figures look unique enough with their varied builds, but Torch really stands out for being the only one to have his head on his crotch.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion:
    • Putting aside the fact that these are all robots, for some reason many fans believe that Millennia/Millennium is a female, proposing Millennia as the character's true name. However, obscure official promo material clearly refers to the toy with masculine pronouns.
    • Some retroactive Viewer Gender Confusion thanks to BIONICLE - some newer fans are quick to assume that Scuba/Sub is female because he is blue and his realm is water.
