- Fight Scene Failure: "Shock More" is mostly successful in capturing the spirit of the original Shock animations, but some of the one-on-one hand-to-hand between Mr. Red and Mr. Green looks kind of wonky. For instance, segments before and after the two slide down the stairs could be described as two stick figures wimp-flailing at each other.
- Spiritual Successor: "Project Retribution", made by Sareth Waldrouk as a tribute to Shock and also contributed to by Terkoiz, is this, with its heavy emphasis on speed, the Flash Step, environmental destruction, and use of other superpowers.
- Unintentional Period Piece: While no indicator of actual time is present and the animation itself has aged quite well, the Leet Lingo used in the first two entries easily date them to the early 2000s. Mr. Red and Mr. Green notably use proper diction in the third entry, which came out years later.
