• Ensemble Dark Horse: Luella, despite being a minor character that has few episodes dedicated to her specifically has become loved amongst fans and has received quite a bit of Fan Art. This may be because she's a Cute Witch and many people find her goth girl design appealing. What also helps matter about this is also her Ascended Extra status as of a few episodes of Series 1 and one episode of Series 2.
• Nightmare Fuel: This is a town filled with various monster people which include zombies whos limbs constantly get ripped off, a dog with half its body rotted off,a rabid angry werewolf who attacks anyone in sight, and there has been lots of instances of Body Horror.
  • The show is not afraid to show blood, whether its the Negative family drinking blood from their taps or having characters get bruised and cut with no subtlety to their blood shed, (the latter doesn't happen too often but it's still there).
  • Cleo keeps her living and still beating heart in a box and if tampered with can cause her excruciating pain.
• Shocking Moments: Resus suddenly having the power to turn into a bat in the season 2 episode "The Return of Wolfgang" came as one to the entire fanbase, who always knew Resus as the surprisingly normal son born to vampires.
