  • Broken Base: His style of music in general is one to more traditionally-minded country fans, but especially the heavy bass and dubstep influence of "Break Up in a Small Town".

  • Covered Up: Several songs off his 2013 pre-fame album Between the Pines were big hits for other artists: "Cop Car" for Keith Urban, "We Are Tonight" for Billy Currington, and "I Met a Girl" for William Michael Morgan. In an inversion, the album also included "Come Over", which was a hit for Kenny Chesney over a year before the album's release.
