• Ensemble Dark Horse: Kaoruko is pretty popular, for being an awesome weirdo and incredibly level-headed at the same time.
• Ho Yay: Present in Kaoruko's story about her and Fumio's shared past life, as a knight and a common soldier, who fought side by side and were executed together. Both were supposedly male, though they are not drawn as such. Their current incarnations have a distinct Les Yay vibe as well.
