  • Breakaway Pop Hit: Chhabeela, the Crowd Song, is one of the few things that came from the movie and not only wasn't hated, but gained significant popularity.
  • Cliché Storm: It was intended to be whimsical, over-the-top masala movie, with a heavy dose of Homage to the works from the 50s and 60s. It backfired horribly, as both critics and audiences tore the movie apart for being nothing more than a pile of losely connected cliches and ideas.
  • Overshadowed by Controversy: The film was one of the focal points of the late 00s (and still ongoing) discussion about Nepotism and "Bollywood dynasties", given it was a vehicle built entirely on Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, who had never acted before in their lives (not to mention leading), but still landed the roles thanks to being children of established names. It's probably the only context in which you can see the movie ever being mentioned, other than how big of a flop it was.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Raj drives Stalking is Love to its logical conclusion, and it very quickly becomes just creepy with his single-minded advances towards Sakina.
