• Enjoy the Story, Skip the Game: The amount of actual gameplay segments can be counted on one hand, and they're less than average at best. The game is enjoyed for its unique cast of characters and animations that accompany each letter.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: George is easily the most popular character, with Banaten not being far behind thanks to his particular relationship with George.
• Ho Yay: Banaten's profile mentions that is is friends with George, but there is a suspicious amount of hearts used to indicate this "friendship". In Banaten's screen, clicking on the heart-shaped button causes a voice to say George's name, and in the "H for heart" video, George cheers up Banaten with a basket of fried bananas that they share while watching the sunset with heart symbols over their heads.
• Nightmare Fuel: The game's most infamous scene is the "T for Time" video, which teaches that "Time Flies" by showing Banaten running in a race, rapidly aging (shown by his fur turning white and him growing a beard, which unintentionally looks like his teeth are becoming long and pointy), and dying of old age just as he crosses the finish line in the now-ruined stadium. The music does nothing to help matters.
• The Scrappy: Cho is hated by fans for his constant abuse of Pon and for never getting his comeuppance. Even in Y for You, where it seems like Pon will finally get his revenge on Cho, the latter finds a way to not only avoid every one of Pon's traps, but have them backfire on him in the process.
