- This was likely inspired by the encounter of Robin Hood and Friar Tuck in Warner Bros.' 1938 The Adventures of Robin Hood, in which Robin (Errol Flynn) also bursts (somewhat incongruously?) into jolly laughter after being thoroughly doused by the Fat Friar (Eugene Pallette).
