- Alternative Character Interpretation: The ending. Porky is now the engineer of Silver Fish, while the heavily damaged Toots is placed on the wagon with attached card "Headin for the last roundhouse". Does this mean that Porky wants to scrap the very same train that he was attached to? Alternatively, given the ambiguity of the card, the words written on it could mean that Porky wants sale Toots to museum. The polish release of cartoon (featured on VCD titled "Bugs Bunny and friends") has lector translating the card as "I'm going to my last rest" which could be interpreted as Toots going for a peaceful retirement in museum.
- Esoteric Happy Ending: The cynical ending gag, where Porky callously plans to scrap the very train that helped him win (and kicked off the cartoons conflict in the first place) after he acquires the Silver Fish, can come off as this.
- Or he's selling Toots to museum, if you see Alternative Character Interpretation section above.
- Moment of Awesome: In the polish translation of short featuring on VCD titled "Bugs Bunny and friends" has Porky defending his train from unpleasant Silver Fish engineer.Silver Fish Engineer: And what is that? Is this a scrap? (laughing)
Porky: This is my scrap! He's better than your Silver Fish! - Values Dissonance: The unfortunate Visual Pun where a pile of wood is blown away to reveal a monkey sitting underneath it, a play on the old phrase "nigger in a woodpile".
