- Fandom Rivalry: With bronies, unsurprisingly. The story goes like this: When Boomerang got reshuffled into Cartoonito in Asia in 2012, it retained several Boomerang shows including FiM. In 2014, Cartoonito scheduled the newly launched Pip Ahoy! to air right after FiM, and this show happens to be the epitome of everything bronies hate about season 1 of FiM (ie Slice of Life, gentle plots, no antagonist and targets preschoolers), venom was spread by Asian bronies to Europe and then the US, and the bronies started bashing the show on several online sites. This was quickly undone as Cartoonito was reshuffled less than 6 months after the premier of the show back into Boomerang, and Pip immediately got the pink slip in Asia after the reshuffle. The bronies are happy and the bashing stopped, but the pipsqueaks (the official nickname given to fans of Pip) aren't and are holding grudges.
