• Awesome Art: The artwork in the game is absolutely gorgeous, and many a fan was attracted to the game for this very reason.
• Polished Port: It's generally agreed that Scarlet is the superior version of the game. While it's a free-to-play mobile game and has most of the trappings that come with it, the gameplay is considered such a vast improvement over the original PC version that you may as well pay for the Freemium pack on Scarlet and get the full experience there instead.
• Scrappy Mechanic:
  • The fact that cards disappear on use in the PC version has gotten complaints about it functionally hindering any effective long-term deck building. It curiously resembles how Stickers work in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, a game that effectively punishes the player for getting into random encounters.
  • The minigames for unlocking treasures in the PC version have been frequently cited as being pointless, tedious and frustrating. This may have contributed to them getting mostly gutted in Scarlet.
