• Ensemble Dark Horse: Larry Kubiak became quite popular with fans, to the point that he was heavily featured on the DVD box art with the main cast.
• Seasonal Rot: The final season was less popular with fans for removing some of the more surreal elements. This was due to the show falling into the trap of changing trends. Beverly Hills, 90210 had came on the air during the show's second season and was a huge ratings juggernaut right out of the gate. Up until that point, Parker Lewis Can't Lose was the network's "teen show" and was pulling in ratings that while middling, were better than most Fox shows. Once Beverly Hills, 90210 came along, however, Parker Lewis Can't Lose became expendable due to Beverly Hills, 90210's higher ratings and the show desperately tried to court Beverly Hills, 90210 viewers by becoming a more conventional teen show.
