YMMV / Orion and the Dark

• Adaptation Displacement: Only after the film was announced did people started discovering the book the film is based off.
• Ending Fatigue: The film might have ended with Dark taking Orion home and they say their sad goodbyes. But the story has a plot hole with Hypatia being in the past so Orion's grandson continues the story fighting aliens and finally the film ends.
• Foe Yay Shipping: Dark is often shipped with his rival, Light.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: About a month after movie came out, Paul Walter Hauser was revealed that he was going to play another physical manifestation of a non-physical entity (this time an emotion) who wears a hood.
• Idiosyncratic Ship Naming:
  • "Nightmare" for Dark/Sweet Dreams.
  • "Sleeptalk" for Sleep/Unexplained Noises.
