- Hilarious in Hindsight: During the montage where the Turtles go around town to spread awareness of the RTD Metro Blue Line, they are in front of a storefront that prominently displays its name "The Boys". Over three decades later, Seth Rogen, who prominently executive produced another superhero work The Boys (2019), would become the producer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
- So Bad, It's Good: While done with extremely cheap production values and shoddy writing, the PSA is so absurd and goofy in its premise and execution that it can provide plenty of unintentional entertainment.
- WTH, Costuming Department?: Many Turtles fans agree these are the worst costumes for the characters in any live-action incarnation, beating out even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III and the 1994 direct-to-video sing-along specials. This is because their mouths don't even move, with their designs looking more like theme park walkaround characters rather than creatures that could coexist with humans.
