• Accidentally-Correct Writing: Mike and the bots joke that Roryis, the woman that's Gus' Love Interest is one of the band Nelson, later deciding on Gunnar Nelson. William R. Moses, who plays Gus was married to Gunnar's sister, Tracy Nelson, at the time.
• Harsher in Hindsight: After meeting with Gus, Wanda says, "Boy...", which Tom spins into wonderment at Atlantis gasoline costing $1.99 a gallon. When the episode aired in 1993, it was scripted as surprise at how expensive it was; ever since the mid-2000s, it could instead be surprise at how cheap it is.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Crow and Servo credited the Kathy Ireland Fabulous Range Of Emotions Acting Guessing Game (where every answer is Dull Surprise) to Hasbro. Over a decade later, fans of a major Hasbro franchise (Transformers) latched onto the term when describing questionable expressions throughout the comics and cartoons.
• Ho Yay: When Servo starts singing in the style of Kathy Ireland ("Oh Mikey Oh Mikey / It's you that I likey!"), Mike starts staring lustfully at Servo, which makes him very uncomfortable.
